beanko, there is no room under the seat. The foam of the seat is formed to fit into that space. I used to instal for a living back in the day, you could either mount it on the box or to the back of the seat.

Those are a pain, I just pulled the rest of the clips out first and then slid it off where the green one attaches to the trim piece. Then putting it back on was sliding it back onto the green one and then popping the others in.

Just had my audio software update today done. I had no appt and pulled in and asked about it. The service guy took my VIN and told me they had the update already and was in and out in an hour.

I had a Jeep Wrangler and ordered a Homelink from ebay in black to match the interior and mounted it in the A piller flush. It looked like it was there from the factory. They wire up using 12v hot and ground. You can buy them all day long in any color.
