  1. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

Two things: One is that my wife made fun of me for the EXACT SAME THING. LOL. And as far as shifting to D to S, by Honda sales guy had me do it during my test drive when entering the highway. Mine's a 2017 EX-L sedan so I doubt there's any diff. The same warning is probably in my manual...
  2. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

Tried both. Agree. I basically am driving a "two speed manual". LOL.
  3. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

OK, well that makes good sense to me Hmm. Tried that and didn't get the great result you got.
  4. Need help beating an Accord 15 Sports Edition!

I think I saw that 6.08 stat, but it was for the 16-17 1.5L Turbo. Might have been a Hondata stat too. They released some new base tunes a week or so ago I think. Check me on that, I'm new here.

I guess my test was a valid one then. Thanks!!!
  6. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

I must be in need of all the steps. Not much help just turning VSA off in the factory basemap. Didn't notice anything. I did have the U1022 turned off, guess I could refresh without that turned off and see if it helps.
  7. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

So the U1022 is just to turn off the light when traction control is actually off? I guess I can see why that would be nice. But if the U one is just for cosmetic reasons, then I've already done it with the VSA off at the bottom. It must me more complex than this because it literally did...
  8. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

OK, but how did you get it done? Custom tune?
  9. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

Well that was not what I thought. Turned off both in the factory map. Then tested, no improvement. Turned off via button on dash as well, same result. Back to factory. Maybe I got a lemon? Newer version of the ECU?
  10. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

I see VSA traction control at the bottom and U1022 VSA above in that section? Which one or both? Sorry, I'm in the car and will research later.

I haven't but this sounds good. So you use one of the starter base tunes and then turn off VSA? Sounds exactly like what I want. Any fears about your CVT?
  12. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

Thanks cmwalton16. I hear you. If you start from a roll it's a lot quicker and there is definitely a sweet spot, but it's also there without the tune to a large extent (in the low rpm range). I have to realize that I didn't buy the Civic because I thought it was fast to begin with. Bought it...
  13. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

I used the Starter with 21 psi and altered the quick adjustment that you'd pointed me toward. I couldn't really notice much improvement until the car got rolling (3000 rpm?). Don't think I made any errors...pretty easy to find the right settings. I really don't want to overload the CVT though.
  14. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

UPDATE: I took Vit's advice and got rid of the ramp in quick settings. Tried 3: Agressive 1, Aggressive 2, and no ramp at all. Then I went back to factory in order to compare. Factory is really not that bad for what I really want which is quick starts from the line. To put it more...
  15. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

Thanks Vit. I'm not trying to burn rubber, just want to goose it up a little bit. I'll give it a try with the stage 2 starter.
  16. Bought Ktuner, loaded a basemap, considering custom tune...

I'm a little stuck. I bought the Ktuner device thinking I'd get a quicker response from a dead stop. In my reading I'm getting info. that almost conflicts. Seems like the older articles and graphs all indicate that the 1.5L turbo with CVT does not ever really perform until you hit about 2000...
