In my case they did not check the ECU. I think they just saw the giant cracks on the engine block and could not figure it out. The district manager apparently approved and the dealership graciously took care of me.
I did not, but my engine just hit 20k, and have been tuned since about 6k. All this time no issues. I was planning to switch to Ktuner but now I'm not sure. In the end I'll probably just trade to an Si if I want something more. But as of right now I honestly cannot trust the base 1.5T
some of you wrote about that there was nothing to worry about if driven conservatively. I just had a rod blast out from under the engine. Conservative CVT guy here with a basic ass +6 tune. Honda is covering it however. But the service advisor was telling me there has been a technical bulletin...

Hi Yves,
Thanks for your e-mail. We do have a complete system available for the 17+ Civic Sport. The systems comes with custom made front strut housings fabricated by Ground Control, as well as Koni sport struts/shocks, front adjustable camber/caster plates, bumpstops...
you give them too much credit. For a company that makes hundreds of different intakes by following the same formula. There should be no issues with production. I have the greddy one and its quality and a relatively simple build. If you think its about r&d i doubt it. It's dollars and cents, and...
saw this intake at hondata's dyno day in Socal. Pretty impressive, I know theres tons of PRL fan boys here and not discounting the PRL intake it showed the most gains of any intake at the dyno day. However before some of you start criticizing their claims, the 27Won car had the highest numbers...
for Hondata its in the flashpro manager software. For the Si, I think there maybe a few different options. I'm not to familiar with it myself. As for press of the switch it happens instantly.
Tuned CVT with +6 Mishimoto here. I drive in stop and go LA traffic, I occasionally disable the tune with eco on when I'm trying to not be a heavy foot. It's a nice bump of power and not at all aggressive. It's perfectly fine within the CVT parameters.
This. This isn't like overclocking a CPU we're talking about Tuning parameters for an engine. Any further adjustments should be done by someone with experience. Every car has slight differences and small tolerances. What if there is something defective in your car and KTuner gives you some...
