I’m just curious to know if it’s even possible to put this much power down. I’m stock and I have traction issues in 1st and 2nd gear. I realize it’s not a drag car, but with this much power, I would imagine 3rd gear will have problems too. Someone educate me!
I don't have any experience with it, but if you're going to be tuned, then I would imagine Hondata Flashpro's traction control could help somewhat in this area.
Hooligan and I were keeping each other updated on the same situation we were both going through. Just wanted to confirm that indeed the thickness of the friction material was causing the issue. I'm not sure of the thickness in mm, but the Hawk Performance Ceramics I was having the dealer put in...
This literally just happened to me as well. At the local Honda dealership. Swapped pads front and rear. Same issue.
When I got in the car to leave, the car was in gear and no ebrake on. Don’t know how long it was sitting like that.
Serious question...do people really have any luck selling these things private party? I know it's a way to maximize the sale price, but it seems like it would be difficult. It's not a cheap car
My original plan was for the long haul, but when spring rolls around, I'll be seriously considering trading it in or selling it and getting a Challenger scat pack widebody.
Can you guys shed some light on the circumstances when this actually happens? It's starting to happen to me. So if I accelerate hard in 1st gear and take it to about 6k rpm, if I try to shift quickly, it'll grind. And that's with me slamming that clutch pedal to the floor before I move that...
Honda is really cranking these things out. I feel like when everyone realized they wouldn't be as rare as initially thought, trade in value took a nosedive. Here in Jersey, i got a quote from carvana just for the hell of it. 2019 with 3800 miles. $32k is all they could offer.
I agree with the OP. So much so that I've considered selling the R, which I lusted after for 2 years before I bought it, for a Scat Pack Challenger with a widebody package and...an 8spd auto. Big, comfortable V8 GT car which would be fine in traffic.
I can get my manual fix from the S2000. I...
Same deal for me on my 2019. It's almost like the fuel cutoff is EXACTLY at 7k, and possibly the tach can't keep up with how quickly the engine revs? That's the only thing I can think of.
I started shifting at 6500 and haven't run into that problem since.
What does everyone think about these being a direct replacement? Meaning, do you think it's part of the overall bumper, or could these be easily swappable?
Same here. I've tried seat position and tilt/telescoping wheels adjustments. I have it to where it's acceptable now. The biggest issue for me is, I feel the clutch pedal is way too far to right in this car (close to the brake pedal). If it were to the left a few more inches, I don't think I'd...
My plan was always to keep it long term, as I believe it's a great balance between daily driver and sports car. But I find myself being tempted by a Challenger scat pack widebody every single day.
Sorry for this really dumb question, but is there a place to put a jack stand when jacking up only one corner?
So say I'm jacking up the front driver side to pull the wheel off. The driver's side jack point is occupied by the jack. I'd prefer to put a jack stand to hold the car up. Where would...
Happens pretty much daily for me. Honda should have really designed the dust shield with edges that cover the space between it and the rotor. It's wide open. And all the stuff these super sticky tires fling up gets lodged in there. Super annoying.
This is almost a daily occurrence for me. Normally the pebble works itself out, but I have one now that just won't go away and it's making a horrid noise. Car was at the dealer today getting getting a tire replace (THANK YOU WHEEL AND TIRE WARRANTY), so I told them to see if they can get the...
I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I'm having the opposite issue. This is my first turbo car with a manual transmission. I find that, when shifting near redline, if I'm deliberate with my shifts, I'm dropping out of boost and have to wait for the turbo to spool again in the next gear...
This happens to me periodically and I've chalked it up to small rock stuck between the rotor and dust shield. One morning while parking my car to go to work, that exact type of sound happened, and it was loud. I stressed the whole day about it. When I got back to the car, I started driving and...
Hi all. Just wanted to see if anyone else has this issue. It sounds like it's coming from the passenger A pillar or glove box area. Happens when I go more than half throttle at around 3k rpms. Recently has also started when going over decently sized bumps.
It's driving me nuts. Car only has 600...
