I've been using AA in my Civic for several years now, and It's been great! ... until this issue started a couple weeks ago. How do you power cycle the HU? Maybe I'll try that next.
Has anyone seen this before? When you're using Android Auto for navigation and you're approaching a turn along your route, the turn instructions (arrow & distance countdown) usually pop up on the instrument cluster. Then, after you complete the turn, it automatically goes back to whatever you...
Yes, I always wait until oil life reaches 15%, then I make an appointment for service. No, code 3 was not missed by accident. I follow the MM religiously. Perhaps the bigger mystery is, since I get all my service done at the dealership, why did they never try to sell me a transmission fluid...
Where does it say that? I don't see it. I put in 2017 Civic Coupe and select Maintenance Minder 1, 2, 3... (2/4-door: Display Audio Type (7-inch Screen)). I don't see anything in there about changing CVT fluid at 60k miles.
Yeah, that sounds reasonable, except for the experience I had with my previous Civic. Did you read my comment? Code 3 never came on. And then they tried to blame me for not changing the transmission fluid.
This agrees with what the 2 Honda Service Managers told me. They said, "around 40,000 miles." But in trying to find an official recommendation from Honda, I came across all kinds of ranges, so I didn't know who to believe. I think I'll just go ahead and change it. Better safe, than sorry.
I had a 2007 Civic. I bought it brand new and I always obeyed the maintenance minder. At around 92,000 miles, the transmission started slipping. I took it to a dealership, and they told me I was supposed to have the transmission fluid changed every 30,000 miles; but the maintenance minder...
What's your source for that information? My owner's manual doesn't give specific service intervals. It basically just says to obey the Maintenance Minder. The Servicer Manager at 2 different Honda dealerships told me 40,000 miles, not 30,000.
I have a 2017 Civic EX-T coupe (1.5 turbo, CVT). Two different Honda dealership service managers told me I should see the Maintenance Minder code 3 (replace transmission fluid) at around 40,000 miles. I now have 41,000 miles, and I haven't seen code 3 yet. Is this normal? Anyone with the...
Utterly hideous. Of course, the current Civic sedan & hatchback are also hideous. The only good looking Civic is the coupe. I hope they don't quit making them, like they did with the Accord.
I was very surprised when I received this notice in the mail. So I started looking for more information online. According to several articles I found, owners were supposed to be notified last year about the warranty extension. But I never received any notice. This is the first I'm hearing...
Someone told me it's so law enforcement can identify the frame if the car is stolen and disassembled in a "chop shop." But if that's the purpose, wouldn't it be better to hide the number instead of putting it right out in the plain sight where car thieves can easily grind it off?
This might be a stupid question. What is the purpose of the frame number beneath the passenger-side floor mat? I never saw that on any other car I owned.
Interesting. I didn't find the story to be a one-sided complaint as you imply. It mentions both pros and cons of touchscreens. Many of the cons that they mention are things that Civic owners on this forum have complained about (hence my original post about it sounding familiar). So, you can...
