Man I thought this argument/debate was over years ago. Of the many benefits is the fact oncoming vehicles much easier to see when you are staring into bright sun. Can't see going back to preDRL days now.

Simple...as is its not optimal and poorly designed...surprising for a company that was once known for simple, useful dash design. Somewhere along the line they lost their way in some respects.

I can use a nexus 4 without a data connection and use Android Auto with Google Maps. With newest version of Google Maps you can download an offline map with directory of locations. You can then use it to navigate in Civic and even search up locations. Only drawback is that Google voice...
Sometimes you have to be careful waiting for the next model year...sometimes companies take options out or lower quality of trim pieces throughout a model life...given low level of Canadian dollar, I expect Honda to raise prices in Canada next year a bit or some tweaking on Canadian options.
I've got a Q10...only issues I have with it are:
1. It does not have text support. Everything seems to setup for this ok, but there are no text accounts to choose...maybe it will work with Passport.
2. No album art sometimes when streaming audio via bluetooth

I don't expect Elantras to catch up but will interesting to see if they continue to grow share and if civic maintains....in Canada Elantra is now #2...beating Civic some months
Yeh for me it will be interesting who wins out here....Honda took a risk and went with more aggressive styling...it's a risk because apart from us guys on this forum, they sell a ton of them because they are a reliable grocery getter and sell broadly across a demographic to men and women...
Curious when/how you view the clock....I am forever twiddling with Audio...that screen never times out to the clock or displays it any where in audio...do you guys just leave the clock on....and switch back to it after doing anything else?

Saw something on TV a few weeks ago describing the recent bust of a group who were working the ports/docks and when new vehicles were rolled out of containers, they would secretly record the VIN. They then used a mole in Drivers License office to track down the address of the new car owner...
