Most Automatics use lock up torque converters. I think these days anything higher than 1st gear is locked up to improve efficiency. In a similar case, the ILX transmission uses the torque converter in first gear, but once out of first, the torque converter doesn't play a role anymore.
When you are not accelerating hard, the turbo engine is essentially a 1.5 litre engine. So if you are doing a lot of cruising, the turbo engine has half a litre less displacement to combust.
It is a similar case if you are starting from a dead stop with a conservative launch (under 2000rpm)...
Not specifically for the civic, but i found turning on the rear defroster usually keeps the rear window clear of large droplets and any further build up of water. Dont ask me how.
To each their own on colour preferences.
It is ironic the Sport models have a tach needle that blends into the background when the people who buy the sport models are usually the ones actually looking at the tach.
Yea, I kinda want the opposite of what Balty is looking for. I want the Hatchback Sport, but with Blue/green gauges.. I figure if he/she found a way to change blue to red, it's the same way to turn red to blue.
I'm looking into getting a Civic, and I was wondering if you had any progress on changing the colour of the tachometer?
What's in the "configuration of instrument panel" settings as shown in the pic below?
