  1. Adding Oil Pressure Gauge

I tried the Canton sandwich plate, and it did not fit. I’m convinced that any sandwich plate that isn’t perfectly round, and the exact diameter of an oil filter, isn’t going to to fit in this car. I sort of gave up on it. I feel like your best bet would be to try and find a filter relocate kit...
  2. Adding Oil Pressure Gauge

I got a GlowShift gauge, and I'm going to be mounting it in a pod on top of the steering column. They're made by Oritz Custom Pods. I actually chose not to get the A-pillar pods because of the airbags. https://www.ortizcustompods.com/honda.html I actually just installed a boost gauge, and for...
  3. Adding Oil Pressure Gauge

So, I actually ordered fittings to allow me to put the sensor in and have it fit. There isn't enough room for the sensor coming straight off the plate, so I got 45 and 90 degree fittings. I would think that with a T-fitting on there somewhere, you could add 2 sensors, or potentially even more.
  4. Adding Oil Pressure Gauge

@Louiemark is a really awesome dude and sent me a picture of where the oil pressure sensor is. It helped solidify my decision to ultimately pursue the sandwich plate route. Hopefully this picture helps you all as well.
  5. Adding Oil Pressure Gauge

So, I was taking my daily look around for solutions to this, and I came across Canton Racing Products, that makes a smaller diameter sandwich plate than any of the others I've found. I had tried a GlowShift plate, but it's diameter was way to big to fit into the recessed area where the oil...
  6. Adding Oil Pressure Gauge

I honestly have no idea. I found other posts that had the official Honda diagram of where it was, but I had a hard time making any sense of it, and literally looked for the sensor for like 2 hours. I swear, I caught a glimpse of it in front of the engine using a mirror on a stick, but I'm not...
  7. Adding Oil Pressure Gauge

Thanks for the info! I've been looking at the oil cooler kit for a few weeks. I don't want or need an oil cooler, but the SiriMoto oil filter relocation parts will fit on the 10 gen Civic perfectly, where the sandwich filter I got did not. I'm going to have to consider it again I guess.
  8. How long did your drivers floor mat last?

My driver mat where the heel of my left foot sits when using the clutch wore through in about a month and a half. A little disappointing, but it led me to discovering Lloyd floor mats. They are a bit pricier than some, but I've had my 'Ultimat' carpets for approximately a year and a half now...
  9. 2017 SI shift knob

I had a the Boomba shift knob, and it was incredible in both the heat and the cold. I live in Pennsylvania, and we get temperatures ranging from -20 to 105 throughout the year. I used the Boomba knob for a year, and never had any burning or freezing knob issues. Personally, I ended up moving on...
  10. Adding Oil Pressure Gauge

With using my Hondata FlashPro to tune my 2017 EX-T Sedan, I'd like to monitor the car closer, and to do this, I'd like to add an oil pressure and turbo pressure gauge. The boost pressure is relatively easy, as it's been done by others on the forum. The oil pressure gauge, I cannot find any...
  11. ShiftBoots

I'll add a small bit of advice from my experience. Do not get a 'universal' shift boot. I did, and even with it cut to size perfectly, it was never quite right.
  12. What do you feed your 10th gen?

From Pennsylvania checking in here! I go to a Sheetz gas station near my work that sells E15/Unleaded88, which is 15% ethanol. I've only ever seen it at a few gas stations, but my 2017 EX-T loves that stuff. It's always 5-10 cents cheaper than 87 octane. It claims to be 88 octane, but it...
  13. Dash cams and installations

Yup, little confused, but no harm done. I did it a while ago in my Civic (little over a year), and if I recall correctly, I did remove the panel under the steering wheel to make everything a little easier. The connectors are, like you said a simple squeeze and remove type. Just be careful when...
  14. Lowest single digit gas range?

Also in PA, and can confirm this fact. Roads suck, and gas is expensive. I've seen potholes that are like 6 feet around and 2-3 feet deep, and this is around Pittsburgh, in case anyone was wondering. On a relevant note to the thread I've run my car down at least 10 miles past 0. No proof of...
  15. Dash cams and installations

So I can offer a bit of insight, as I put a camera in my non-sensing Civic Sedan, as well as helped a friend put one in this Sensing CRV. So, let me hit each of these questions for you . 1. I took the a-pillar off and carefully secured the wire behind the airbag to insure it wouldn't interfere...
  16. Replacement head unit with volume knobs or buttons

I don't have an SI, but an EX-T, so I think they'd be about the same, but if I quickly flick my finger across the volume rocker from top to bottom, it mutes the audio. And it actually mutes it, not just turn it down. Just an FYI.
  17. Let's talk knock 1.5 ext

Not to derail the existing conversation, but I'd like to address OPs original question with my situation. So I have a 2017 EX-T Sedan with the 6 speed manual, and no bolts-ons at all. I flashed it with Flashpro up to a +9 PSI base map early on to see what it was capable of. I didn't have any...
  18. Speedometer - dial or digits?

I love having digits. It's simple to just take a quick look. All my previous vehicles had dials, and after time, you can read them just as quickly, but not having the dial in the Civic leaves room for a larger digital tac. and other information, thus the reason I like it so much.
  19. Opinions for a new head unit.

Phoenix has a video on their site of it working properly, but I fear that it might not truly be plug-and-play. I've fought enough of these battles on prior cars, and I'm not ready to start another, ya know?
  20. Which knob

I did this. That's when I got gloves, and learned to park so that the sun doesn't hit it directly. It's a trade off.
