That’s because the R has slightly different shaped vents than the hatch/SI. The hatch and SI are more rounded, while the R has sharper corners where the vents meet the inlets. As far as I can tell the leaked photos are from a hatch sport.

I’ve been back and forth on the carbon fiber interior kit for a while, and the Honda Access shift knob. Broke down and ordered them last week.

Yeah, not too concerned about the screen itself. I’m hoping it’s covered under warranty. The car is just under a year old, and I have Honda Care for 120k Miles.

If they produce the hatchbacks in the US or North America, it’s much more likely we will see an SI hatch. One can hope.

The badge numbers are definitely worldwide. I’m just curious if any numbers were skipped or excluded. It would be cool to know the total units produced worldwide.

I bought mine from Greg May Honda in Waco. Paid 3k adm. I wasn’t stoked about it, but I had shopped around, and the dealers offering MSRP all had long wait lists. Everyone else was 5k+ over sticker.

If you consider the FD2/FN2 limited, then the Fk8 is even more so. Production numbers of the FD2 and FN2 (technically the same generation, just different models for different regions) reached nearly 30k in production. Also remember, that was without even making it to North or South America. So...

I get where you are coming from. What drives me crazy is when it gets compared to the Golf R. It really should be compared to the GTI. The GTI costs a little more than the type R when it is comparably equipped (Nav, LSD, premium wheels...). They are both mid 30k hatchbacks, 4 cyl turbo, and FWD.

It would be interesting to know if-and-which numbers were skipped. I know certain numbers for the ITR were never produced. I’m sure in years to come we’ll have an exact count.
