I've never had tinted windows but I do love the look of them; especially on the Type R. New Hampshire law allows for no tint next to, or in front of the driver & <35% behind the driver.
I have a PMM. Would it look weird to have the back half of the car darker than the front? What would you do...
Would there still be a delay if one port is open? The point of the Y-cable would be to hide the GPS with the other end open (only to be used when needed by garages, etc...)
Hey all,
I have an Automatic Pro in which I've installed in my 17' Civic Type R. Seeing that it's pretty obvious sitting in the OBD port, I was hoping to hide it with a cable while still having an open port for garages to use when needed. Are there any issues with splitting an OBD port or...
Over the past two weeks we had a few snow storms in my area so I haven't been driving my CTR.
I drove it to work today and there was some slight shaking which felt like a bump-every-tire rotation.
I have brand new all-season tires on. Tire pressure is good and no visible flat spots that I can...
My brakes squealed during the summer but off and on. Now that it's colder, my brakes are louder and seem to squeal more often but today was 35 degrees and they were silent on the drive home.
I also have a Type R & Jeep Wrangler and I'm right next to you in NH. Winters can be really cold while staying dry so I'll have a chance to warm the car up every week or two but my wrangler will power through any storm or temperature just fine. I don't have a garage so I just made the switch to...
Well this morning was the first frost and I found a suction cup mark on the front of my hood. Then I cleaned the brake dust off my wheels only to find a nail in my tire. Then this evening, there was garbage all over the road which took a chuck out of my front splitter. And my brakes are still...
I'm in the same boat except I don't have a garage. I ended up switching to 18's w/ all-seasons. Had them put on today. I highly suggest getting some new shoes, especially in Canada, to hold down in fall/early spring weather and remove any winter storage worries.
My brakes make ears bleed. They'd be perfect for a horror movie soundtrack.
Is this bound to go away over time? Or because the pad is the same material all the way through, it will always continue? I just didn't know if there was any contact differences after wearing down with usage.
I'm about...
The scraping noise happens to me when going in reverse (and it's pretty bad) – but only when the steering wheel is turned pretty much all the way.
Also, the noise happens every now and then. Comes and goes... Thanks for the advice on this thread. I'll have to take a closer look soon.
Will anyone be doing additional security on their CTR?
All I'm really looking for is GPS tracking. What's the best way to track your car?
Viper? LoJack? DIY phone hardwire? Something from Amazon?
Side question to this thread:
What's the best option if we get a flat with the stock tires?
1: Buy a spare that will fit in the trunk well. (any suggestions?)
2: Use the air compressor that the car comes with. (Does it have sealant that it injects into the tire? Then what?)
