That is correct. Actually sold the car now, but I had no issues with that setup. Worked great and batteries stayed charged.

I had to cut into the rear deck using a jigsaw.

I forgot to mention that I did have to grind on the original car terminal to make it flat. That way the 1/0 terminal could fit flush against it. Here is a little better pic of the sub:

Sorry for he way late response. I ran my 1/0 next to the large boot behind the brake pedal. This is the only location such a big cable would fit through. This is only temporary since I believe my best options is to drill a hole into the firewall and add a grommet large enough. I just installed...

This is a possibility and I will check for this too.

I believe I know what I did wrong. When installing the t-taps on each wire, I actually started with the front driver's side. Before I installed each t-tap, I cut around the sheathing where the t-tap would go to get the best connection, but I remember not cutting all the way around for that...
