I wholly agree. In fact, I think they both have nearly equal 'ring times but in a straight line...man that AWD just moves. Plenty of reviews and vids putting the stock Golf R actuals in the low-mid 13's and 0-60 near 3.8. With just the tune upgrades (no bolt-ons and I'll need to do the engine...
Just as a quick check, look at your PCV hose. It can cause some smells and is a common failure item for all civic 1.5T's, tuned or not. Easy to check and change and definitely causes a smell. There are tons of people here that found gaping holes in theirs (myself included on both of my 2020...
I was dead set on the 11th gen CTR until I drove this thing. It's got all of the creature comforts of my wife's R-line Atlas and is just sooooo damned fast.
DSG is all that exists anymore, but c'mon! An automatic AWD car that can manage torque to be able to include a "manual" shifting drift mode, AND comes with the Nurburgring tune setup as racing preselects? That tiptronic DSG turns into a manual without the knee jerking. I absolutely love this...
I think I'll get the fuel pump replaced first to rule that out. If it's not that, I'm concerned about abusing it more by overstressing it if it's the CVT. I'm definitely still able to obtain and hold boost after it gets past the transition point where the lag/shudder stops. I'll try to get...
Well, 53500 in and I am having an issue that I'm not sure about yet.
A couple of weeks ago, my car started to bog a couple of times when it hits the top of the power band. It drives fine until I get on it. The bogging started out as just a slight delay (or a couple of them), as though I had...
Wheel locks are just deterrents. Look up how to get them off online. Without knowing which you have, I can't really point to a specific video. They're surprisingly easy.

Most people lower the car to get rid of the wheel gap.
If you get the right coilover setup, it won't feel much different than stock unless you really slam it. I'm on BC Racing coilovers with switft springs and mine is a fine daily driver. Hardly any different than the stock suspension.
As...

I've used these on both of my Gen X Civics. If the light doesn't come on at first, just turn the plug around. There are literally dozens of versions to choose from. Some even have chasing blinkers and other lighting displays.
They were trying hard to sell me the '24 but there are so many feature improvements in the '25. Hell, I'd wait just for the lighted VW logo, but the improved software, 13.5" info screen and the HP/torque bump to meet the club sport are worth waiting for.
They won't be making the manual any more but I drove the 24 with the 7 speed dual clutch and it drives like a manual with no clutch footing in race mode. It was both an amazing performer and a luxury equipped car! So much there!

I also noticed it’s slightly smaller in thickness compared to the leather CTR wheel. What little bit I’ve drove with this new wheel I love how it feels and like you said won’t freeze my hands when it’s cold in the mornings.
You'll need to switch where you hold it so you don't flatten the...
It's such a common problem for that hose to go bad that it should be added to routine maintenance. Every owner should check it. The most common "symptom" is that you might start smelling an exhaust-type smell in the cabin or when you just step out of your car after idling for a few minutes...
