love at first sight. wanted one the min i saw the press release. loved everything about it. Didn't think i could get it either. showed the old lady the press pix. 10 min later, she's like you could actually get that if you do this, this, this..etc. Rest is history. Picked up a 2017 during...
just caught this thread. Being victim myself a few times with other cars, I def feel your pain. Any leads? Seeing that it's already been a couple weeks, unfortunately, it sounds like it's gone. My older car got stolen in front of my house as well and i def felt violated. I was so pissed...
the first gear "thunk" as OP would call it is normal if you're not going slow enough and you put it in 1st. around 0 - 5mph it's from no noise to a " thunk". faster, louder. So next time you come to a stop sign, stop fully and then shift to 1st
Yea I’m working on something for the rear. Check out my IG @dajay23. I post stuff I make. I also made a reducer for the brake duct to make it functional.
I'll PM you, but yes, I can ship internationally. It's been discussed 7 years ago that the OEM hood scoop doesn't cool. Race shop and other members has measured it before and after temps and found no diff. Funny that people still don't want to believe it lol.
Mfg doesn't need to make...
lol i was just thinking this couple weeks ago if anyone did or would do a FL5 front clip on FK8. Then i see this post. :headbang:
If you're determined to use the bumper cover ONLY for looks, you can probably make some brackets. The benefit of having the FL5 front would be the additional...
cool stuff. Interesting take on the parallel vs perpendicular bushing placements. love it. Will be keeping an eye on this for the FK8. I ran Hasport for years. Didn't have any major issues, but i just didn't feel satisfied so I went w/ the "spoon" stiffer mounts. Quoting spoon because i'm...
i'd save much as you can. They're salvageable if you know what you're doing. As some mentioned the lower portion of the bumper itself is only held on by some very fragile stand offs if you would even call it that. or strips. they break fairly easy. Once those break, your lower center is...
need more info. Did you get the car used? sounds like you did. If you did, was it at a dealer? I don't like dealers, but take it back to same dealer? Otherwise, find a local reputable shop. Go from there. Unfortunately, i see lot of these used Rs get beat on or something broke and they can't...
may not be direct answer, but i was in that camp 20 years ago and bought the NB Mazdaspeed Miata (turbo) off the lot back in 2004. I ultimately sold it because i started a family and just the convenience of it wasn't practical. Pure driving, it's a different type of car really. It's like a go...
i did on mine mainly because of the silicone couplers. The one at the throttlebody tends to rip. So I just got the kit including the hard pipes as well. Nowadays, vendors sell the couplers individually so you can just replace those. Couplers, i think it's a must.
Nice! Sure, i'll PM you. Not sure if you saw my ref on my first post. The data is actually from Race Louvers. I follow the gentleman over there that posts wind tunnel data for their R&D mustang. Very informative. As for me, I'm not into cutting metal lol. You could use their universal fender...
Thanks for your Interest. I also frequent the tracks. With these vents, the larger the better. Especially if you're pushing this car & with oil coolers, this would help vent the hot air as well as brake heat. Something i didn't point out before is that cars w/ brake ducts like ours would highly...
Thanks! It’s ready to go. Ive been meaning to do another follow up post. I’ve been testing them and I wanted to take them to the track. Unfortunately, I haven’t tracked but I’ve been driving with them for awhile. Got real busy over the summer with family vacations. Still hoping to hit the track...
no worries ha. The manual says it should be 10mm. IMO, I don't think it's a big deal if you went 12mm. Even though mfg says their springs don't sag overtime, i still think they do. That extra 2 mm would be negligible over time. If somethings bothering you or if you're like me that jacks up the...
Hard to answer "proper" or "optimal" setups because it all depends on your goals and the track. People want to tune their suspension because they want to be fast on the track or set a good lap time which doesn't translate to street driving all that well. Also depends on your NVH tolerance.
Your...
