You’ve got plenty of important mods already. Exhaust is the key. A $500 tune and you’re there. Might I also suggest a type r shifter linkage. $50 from Honda. Best bang for buck mod.
Or just tell me to F off. It’s your cash. Lol GL whatever u decide.
If u truly want the best, u need the Borla atak. If u have a downpipe, you’ll need to insert the full blocking plate in the center tip. It kills the drone associated with modified dp’s. 💯
It’s fine without it BUT your downpipe:front pipe connection will rust together into one solid piece. Bolts will be shot. Takes a few winters for that to happen.
One of my 10th gens has a rebuilt title, so no warranty on anything, thus take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt. I get about 1 year per can of r1234yf. I've done some research and I'm finally doing an experiment with this summer's recharge. I bought a r134a to r1234yf conversion...
Oh crap, you’re right, my bad. Doesn’t ktuner only have one tune for the 2.0? Should be pretty easy to find. it was all over YouTube a couple years ago. i believe it drops Vtec down to 5300 correct? Good luck OP.
It's honeywell. Are there other brands of r1234yf now? I'm about to put my 3rd can in. I just got another 2 years out of my 2nd can. Whatever leak I have, it's VERY VERY SLOW.
Congrats! I initially came here to say Get the Tune, and Delete your Resonator. Best of both worlds. I have a Hondata, so I can't really help. But I started with a basetune +6 and did research to make adjustments to it. Did you not purchase it with an OTS tune like TSP Stage 1?
Might be easier just to add a bottle of r1234yf. I do it every 18 months or so. Been doing it for 4 years and it works like a charm. (I had no warranty bc my car has a rebuilt title)
I'm having a hard time picturing a wagon. What I think you'd get is a type R SUV. Which I guess would be cool if someone likes SUV's.... A rare breed in this forum.
If it makes you feel better I'm paying $943 a month for my wife's 2022 Honda Odyssey.... A stupid minivan!! (I wanted 0.9% special APR and could only get it w/ a 48 mo loan. And since it was so low apr, I put 0 down.) So, I'd be pretty happy for a payment in the 700's for a Type R. I'd say...
I went and looked at a used Elantra N last year. They only offered me 14k for my civic. Not an Si, but similar MSRP's back in the day. This was a year ago. They'd probably offer even less now. Take the 20k and run.
Oof. LOL, I just read they will give you "close" to 20k...
Just curious. How does the Elantra N pull it off without sacrificing long term reliability? (Then again, it's a hyundai so maybe long term reliability isn't their thing. lol)
