Bro, you just stated that the grinding noise is a transmission problem. Doesn't matter if you're the one to come up with the conclusion, you obviously believe it. I read the forum, there's no definitive proof that the grinding noise is caused by the CVT. Apparently owners of the 2.0 aren't...
I never said I knew more, obviously. That's why I asked a question. Is the grinding noise confirmed to be from the CVT, and is said source from the work order in Thailand? I just wanted an educated answer.
I wasn't even asking a question on your rattling issues. Those are very minor to a possible transmission problem. You probably shouldn't say the grinding noise is due to the transmission. That's very misleading. Don't assume, makes you sound like an idiot remember? A quick look up shows that...
Also, how am I trolling? I asked a legitimate question. I said, "is the grinding noise confirmed to be a transmission problem". Your response was that some mechanic from Thailand confirmed it. I thought you were the one trolling me.
When I say problem, I meant will it cause damage to the...
I came here to be informed. If there's a potential problem with my car then I would like to know about it. I don't consider rattling a legitimate issue because it's objective. There are some rattles that I believe are an issue, like the subwoofer. When I say out of states (sorry if I wasn't...
No, I don't feel the need to stick up for Honda, and if you didn't care then why bother replying. I'm just tired of all the nagging in this forum. "I'll tell you it won't last very long", never said my car was perfect lol. Every car has issues, I guess I'm just sensible enough to live with them.
You do realize how ridiculous that sounds, right? Honda mechanic from Thailand saying that you need to replace the transmission, because it's making a grinding noise. Not like there's not several examples of transmission failure on the forums, and what not.
Right, because I'm going to believe one example, and that example is from an out of states source. Nah, I'm good. I'm too busy enjoying my car. It's an economy car and even if it wasn't, rattles are bound to happen to any car.
I feel the remorse. I used to have a 14 Mazda 6, but a drunk driver hit it, while it was parked.. Just my luck. Post-accident hassle is such a PITA. Deleted the pics of the car, didn't want to be reminded of my shitty luck.
Nice. I have an EX-L too. I ended up paying 23498.75. That includes door edge guards, so roughly around $200 extra. Never would've thought I would pay that much for a civic, but then again I would never have thought a civic would be this much of a car.
IMO, get the Husky. It doesn't cover the foot rest on the driver's side. I'm assuming it doesn't have anything to grip with on the passenger either, since there are no tabs. The rear mats don't cover the hump either. You can buy Husky for $20 more w/ lifetime warranty.
Also, weathertech has...
Sorry it took so long.
Weathertech
Pros: Material seems more durable/Walls are higher
Cons: Floor liners aren't snug enough (IMO)/Passenger side doesn't have tabs, so floor liner doesn't have anything to grip to
Husky
Pros: Cheaper/Snug fit/Passenger has spikes underneath to help with...
