Tuning makes all the difference. I cant speak to off the shelf tunes but am relatively confident theyâre ok if youâre stock or near stock. If youâre Going full bolt on or don't live at lower altitude I recommend custom tuning. I live at 6,000 altitude and that has a big role in turbo performance...
The only reason to rev one is if youâre Hitting rev limited right at the end of a run (drag racing) or briefly on one section of the track and donât have time to shift. Other than that absolutely no reason to rev it out. Above 7200 youâre not making a lot of torque, ideally you want to be in the...
I upgraded the rear sway bar (22mm) and absolutely loved the improved cornering. Then recently upgraded the front while doing a RV6 flywheel/Exedy clutch retro. The front also improved corners but came at the expense of ride comfort. Harder and bumps feel rougher.
Yeap, and on the dash you go in the menu, with the car stopped and parking brake applied, and find Calibrate TPMS system. Then after driving around awhile the computer learns what the rpm of each wheel is. Itâs cheaper then the valve stem system, but not as good at detecting a tire going down if...
Itâs the steering wheel lock disengaging. For some reason some people have one that makes noise, others they are almost silent. But thatâs what it is, a little servo motor disengaging the locking pin.
I assume youâre unable to install FlashPro Manager? If you canât do that it wonât work. I think this answers it.

go to the friggin library and use a computer. Or surely you have a friend with a computer. Again, you donât need the computer and the car...
Use a friendâs computer to load the tune on the flash pro then flash direct from it. You donât have to be hooked to a computer to flash the ECU. Only to load the tune on the flash pro.
Iâm with GTman. A tune on the ECU is an amazing improvement and gets rid of the horrible rev hang. And a rear sway bar also makes a huge difference. Took me about 30-40 minutes to install. Simple. I also installed a front sway bar and in some ways regret it. It corners even better but is pretty...
I changed out the rear sway bar and it made a big difference. Far less body roll and a lot nicer in corners. I went ahead recently and changed out the front sway bar, had the dealer do it while they had the engine out of the car. Didnât make as big of a difference compared to the rear. I have no...
Itâs the thing you screw in to hold the spare. But I donât think you have a spare, or anywhere to put one.
Here is my solution, yeah it takes up a lot of trunk space, but really nice to have one in remote parts of Montana where there might not even be cell phone coverage.
you are correct it will throw a code. Mine was a catalytic convertor one. But the closed loop will still adjust fueling and ignition.
but yeah, my advice is custom tuning but youâre not going to hurt anything running a canned tune. Except maybe the clutch.
IMW is pricey. I think at the end of the day they all do the same thing. Dan at E-tunez has been tuning my Hondas for 10 years (3 of them) and always dials it in.
