I let 27WON play with my car a couple times in the last month. I just got her back from her last visit. Don't ask me what they were playing with bc honestly, I don't know 100%. I kinda know, but I don't wanna say wrong stuff, or say stuff they're potentially keeping a surprise, or say stuff and...
Now that we have any possible hostilities behind us, let's do a bit of digging to try and find the root cause of your issue. I'm assuming you mean "clutch" is biting hard off the line. Do you just have really jerky acceleration when applying the gas? If not, what other symptoms are you chasing...
The info I got is from the service manual for the 10th gen civic. To GTMan's point, a lot has changed in 18 years, so I'd trust the service manual for this specific transmission over that.
Service manual says to reset the TCM if you're replacing the transmission fluid pump and/or valve body.
For a regular change, it's drain -> fill -> check level -> cycle between all gear selections waiting 3s between each position -> check level again -> reset maintenance minder
Had a lead foot when I drove my '92 Toyota Paseo in high school, but I didn't know shit for working on cars other than oil changes, brake pads, and changing a tire.
Got my 2002 Civic and wanted to learn to actually do stuff on cars. That, and The Fast and the Furious released a couple months...
Old thread, but I'll respond to you.
I installed some on my FK7. Mine were $60 replicas from Amazon and it fit like a glove. Zero fitment issues. There was one hole on mine (on both sides) that looks like it should have been a mounting hole, but there was no such hole where it contacted the...
I ordered one of their high flow racing grilles. I got a tracking number, and that was about it.
When I got the grille, the front emblem mount wasn't in the box. Tried contacting them, and it was radio silence. Like 3 days later, I got the emblem and mount in a separate box with no notification...
A BOV vents to atmosphere. Our stock setup recirculates that air back into the intake stream and is taken into account by the ECU for calculations of how much fuel to add to keep the AFR happy.
It's not worth the amount of effort required to make it run 100% happy, just for some woosh noises...
I was thinking the same thing. I'd be tempted to go with gold since it fits my car's color scheme better, but, at the same time, I love my blue broadway mirror, too, and I know that doesn't come in gold
I've def had plenty of interest. I think there were like 8-10 people that all hit me up and said, "DUDE MAKE ME ONE"
I'll get working on a DIY guide and post it up.
Unfortunately, I haven't had the workspace (nor the time, tbh) to be able to make any since I initially made mine. I guess what I can do in the meantime is post up a DIY guide for anyone willing to give it a go. The first version I made was with a drill, dremel, file, and a 14mm reaming tool I...
Been searching around, because I was curious. I couldn't get any of the numbers on the FIA decals to pull up, and every pic of the Mugen MS-R seats I found have "RECARO" embossed on the back, just under the harness holes. The replicas I saw on alibaba didn't have the RECARO embossing on the back...
It's super sweet, and much nicer to look at than my DIY SRI, but I will say, it is quieter on the turbo "woosh" and BPV "pssh" noises, but that's to be expected with the semi-enclosed box. Vlad said they left the funnel in place (behind the faux grille I opened up) to send more air directly to...
It's been quite a while since I've posted an update, especially now that something has changed.
Vehicle: 2018 Sport Hatch CVT
Total tuned time: 4 years, 3 months (initial tune was 2/7/2019)
Tuned miles driven: just shy of 60k miles (37.3k miles on the Phearable tune)
Tuning device(s) used...
So, work's been a bit nuts lately, but things finally calmed down. After some back and forth communication with Vincent and Vlad from 27WON, I dropped my car off at their shop so they could use my CVT platform to test fit/check some stuff. Intake clearances and the CVT sensor, from what Vlad...
