Hi Folks ,
Was T-boned in traffic recently, at low speeds, and my civic was hit on drivers side front rim/tire and some fender/door damage. Everything was fixed through a collision centre, with total damage of $3,800, covered by insurance. I had to go back to the shop (Active Green and Ross) to...
Hi Folks,
Looking to read my cars odometer mileage. I have a 2017 civic EX. Looking for a wired USB solution, which can do this. Can you recommend any ODB2 readers?
Looking to use this for gig economy deliveries, to keep track of mileage driven. Perhaps you also have some apps you can...
Hi,
Wanting to upgrade the speakers to start in my 2017 EX civic, don't want a sub right now.
Looking at the Alpine S2-S65C which are 80 watts RMS and sensitivity of 88 speakers. D

Does CVT transmission oil expand in volume if it is old and dirty?
My 2017 civic now has 190K km on it, and bought it used with 30K km on the odometer. First CVT oil swap I'm doing and think I may had my car slanted forward as when I drained the oil, 4.8 litres came out. Manual says to drain...
Hi,
Had not done a swap of the CVT oil since I bought the used civic. Bought is with 30K km on it, and not the car has 190K km on it. Would draining the CVT oil and then replacing the same amount back in with fresh CVT oil be the correct procedure? Or does the CVT transmission burn oil over...
Hi,
I add about half a quart or (500ml) oil between oil changes as car burns some oil. Would this car be considred high mileage now? Would you still be using 0w20 full synthetic oil, or would you switch to something thicker?
Cheers,
rev
My civic 2017 civicc EX has 105k miles on it, bought it when it had 20k miles, about 4 years ago. Never swapped the CVT transmission fluid. Should I go ahead and swap the fluid. Read somewhere, when it is not changed for a long time, it should be left as is?
regards,

Hi Folks,
Have a 2017 civic ex with about 170K km on it. I swapped the rear brake pads for new ones, as those were finished. Can I pass safety with what is left on the front brakes or should I swap the front also?
Front passanger pad has about 4.5 mm left on it.

Hi Folks,
I was working on my brakes and noticed the rear driver bearing is making noise. Here is the video.
Can you recommend any fair and honda knowledgeable shop? The dealer wants $542+tax to relace one bearing.
Hi Folks,
Just working on my car doing my rear brakes. Did the passanger followed by the drivers side. Notice the drivers side is making noise and has a very slight wobble where it rubs against the new brake pad.
Bearing video.
Here is the wobble of the rotor. Could the rotor be intalled...
Hi folks, looking for brake replacement, have a EX 2017 civic, and do 50:50 highway/city driving. Also planning to do uber with passangers, so extra weight there. Which brakes would be best or can you recommend some other brand. Looking at the following at the moment at rockauto.

Looking for a set of tires to replace my stock Firestone FT140. I assume lots of tires will be better than this stock tire. Looking for an all season tire on the comfort side (specifically a quiet ride.), with some decent performance for the summer.
Looking at there the Pirelli Cinturato P7 A/S...
Hi All,
Looking to install a pure sine wave inverter into my 10th gen 2017 civic EX, to charge up my e-bike battery, laptop, and kettle. Not all at once. A kettle is between 700 and 1000 Watts.
So how do I figure out if the civic can handle such a larger inverter?
Should I be looking at what...
Have a 2017 EX, is there a max length of USB cable one can use to connect their phone to AndroidAuto?
Also any recommendation on a soft cable, which bends very easily? Perhaps a right angle would be better too, I find I'm loosing connection to my android auto due to cable movement, mounting...
Hey,
Have a 2017 EX looking for new tires. Currently have the 16" OEM alloys. Believe the BRZ has 5 x 100 bolt pattern, instead of the civics 114.3 x 5. Don't even know of the offset the BRZ rims have. But would these work in anyway with the civic?
Hi Folks,
My civic gave me a code 3 maintenance, to change the transmission oil. My car has an extended 160K km extended power-train warranty. How good are the transmissions on the civics? I've started doing my own engine oil changes which saves me $50 per change, which I assume voids my...
Been using ultra platinum for my last oil change. Just read that the ultra is for turbo engines. The platinum is slightly cheaper, is there a difference which one I use?
Also just read one should shake the jug when going an oil change, as the additive sediment settles on the bottom. Don't...
My 2017 civic came wth 215/55/16 alloys. If I'd like to put winter tires on them, would I be able to fit 205/60/16 winter tires on the original 215/55/16 alloy? Or is that a no go.
