If you have winter tire on it, youāll do fine. My all seasons are capable of doing Chicago winters. Though Iām in an area where snow is typically cleared within 24 hours (typically 8). Gone through 6 winters with mine so far.
Iād be running to King to do a custom tune if I were to go that route. Theyāre a little further away though. Nice thing is that 93 is more or less available everywhere in my state. Still waiting to hear back from King. Not sure if I should wait until the fuel pump recall is dealt with first.
Now that my 100k mile extended warranty is goneā¦ this was probably overdue. Did it at one of Hondataās jailbreak tours. Probably the cheapest way to get Hondata and jailbreak.
Only running a base tune right now. Debating a custom tune from King. I only have an intercooler an exhaust though so...
Photography and an ever-growing collection of LEGO sets. I've spent more time than I should playing GT7 in VR with a wheel and pedal set; not sure if you'd call that a hobby.
When I searched around for information about them, noise was one of the bigger complaints. I think I was able to find a post on here at one point that said they were noisier than OEM.
Aren't the HP+ known to produce lots of noise if not used in high heat situations. The good thing about the HP+ is that they work very well over a wide range of temps which makes them good for street (if you can deal with the noise), autocross, and possibly light track use. It was on my radar...
I'm at just over 100k miles and about to hit 6 years. But I did notice that my gas mileage has turned to shit in the past 6 or so months. I originally assumed the new plugs, valve lash adjustment, clutch, and new transmission would fix the issue, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I think...
Took this right before I left to hit the 100k mark and officially have no warranty left. Next up is a fuel pump (whenever Honda gets those) then possibly a tune of some kind.
My transmission had about 100k miles on it before it got replaced under warranty. It was still functioning fine, but the grinds were really annoying. Approximately grinned once every 1500 or so miles. Doing the math that's like 60 or so grinds.
Note that my 4th gear liked to pop out when I...
My driver's side was replaced at around 98k miles. Car veered left slightly constantly and I could feel slight vibration in the steering wheel when doing lane changes at speed (60+ MPH) but only while the wheel was slightly turned left (any more or less and there would be no vibration).
I...
Really good timing for this. My car's extended warranty is just about to expire, so I was thinking of doing some sort of tune. More options never hurts I guess.
I was likely going to drive up to King and have them do a tune or flash one onto my car.
It can be done, but it'll look weird with the black locking nut. If you wanted to do it so it looks proper, you'd want to do the shift knob, locking nut, and shift boot (Honda doesn't sell the collar alone). Note that the 2020+ locking nut and shift boot will have your shifter sit lower as...
So my 100k service was just plugs and valve adjustment. No clearing of carbon buildup to my knowledge. I also had my clutch done since my transmission was already getting pulled. I canāt test it currently since Iām breaking in my clutch, but I feel like the car is more responsive. I did give my...
Iām happy with the way mine is running. Once I learned the quirks I was fine with it. I have updated the firmware on mine a few times. There probably is another out for it, but meh. š
Mine is in English as well which helps.
