This was Drob's response when I asked his thoughts on W1 vs W2:
Seems like the W2 is a better option overall, even though it may not make any noticeable power gains over the W1 on stock fuel system
W1 seems to make around 280-300 whp on pump gas, depending on your supporting mods and whether you run the basemap or custom tune.. W2 should make around 40 whp more than the W1 running comparable setup according to 27won
Really hard to compare until we get them tested in the real world.. w1 might accelerate quicker to lower speeds and cover shorter distances quicker due to its low end grunt, but the w2 should easily surpass it once you start really getting on it.. I suspect the w1 could provide a better 1/4 mile...
I believe the Evo X came stock with a td05 unit.. 350whp sounds like it could be achievable with bolt-ons and tune running pump gas.. this is getting interesting :D
Would love to go with exedy but the low torque ratings are causing some hesitation.. clutchmasters, spec, and action have been seeing issues (chatter, lockout, etc).. that leaves act or competition .. How do you find the act clutch?
Looks like Two-Step Performance has these available now as well.. https://www.twostepperformance.com/collections/all/products/performance-clutch-kit-for-2016-honda-civic-1-5t
Stage 2 organic option is rated for 425 lb-ft of torque at the wheels, which seems very suitable for those of us running...
