I say you wait and buy a used one. There are so many used Type-R’s you’d think the car was a Dud. Buying new over MSRP to me is still insane unless they add over priced accessories. While the CTR will hold its value, it’s not going to hold the extra $15k people paid
I mean someone needs to be desperate to get a car. I think dealers sales on their last legs with this madness. Soon enough Manufacturers will just use dealers for test drives and services.
Riverside Mazda:
Markup - $20K
BS Dealer Add Ons- $4100
Total- $63K
The salesman claim they will not budge on the markup. They have two of them. It's always the same story "Honda is skipping one year of the Type R, that's why these are marked up"
I wish all manufacturers would just start...
Thats real good! I just came back from Riverside Honda $20K Markup plus $4100 in their fake accessories. $63K total and according to the salesman its non negotiable. I even offered $5k over. People on this forum where right, I should have paid the $5k ADM when they first came out. Time to...
I'm not sure who would pay the extreme ADM unless its a car collector or a You Tuber who will make up the ADM with one video. I mean High School graduation isn't until next year :D
It will eventually come down just like it did when the refresh came out. As of now at least in my area, we are getting close to 100 in stock, just sitting there with markups from $7500 to $15000. When Honda announces the new CTR, dealers will sell what they have in stock at MSRP. One dealers...
Just in case anyone in SoCal is looking, Carson Honda has 3 CTR's with a $5k markup, call Leslie at 323-388-1571. I ended purchasing something else but probably would have negotiated the ADM on one of these. They also have a LE, but I am not sure how much they are asking for that one.
