  1. Best headlights balancing appearance and quality

I really like the blacked out OEM headlights that came on the sport trims 2019+ on my 2017 Si.
  2. Possible coolant leak??

I guess it would be the PRL clamps. The hard line underneath the valve cover fake carbon fiber bit. Where the dried coolant appears to be.
  3. Valve Adjustment cost @ dealer?

Think it is smart to get a new valve cover? Are there issues with warped valve covers not seating properly?
  4. Steering clunk

Fix your sway bar link first. See if it goes away. If not, then check for play in your ball joints.
  5. Possible coolant leak??

The worm clamp on that coolant line is not factory.
  6. Burning clutch smell

Clutch replacement is 10 hours labor. If replacing the entire assembly with OEM flywheel and bearings, parts will be ~2500. The flywheel is the most expensive part. Dropping the subframe is required to get the trans out completely and have plenty of room for install. I’ve gotten quotes for...
  7. Burning clutch smell

They did not lose their ass, trust me. They got steak dinners with the money they made on your trade-in. The only person that lost their ass was you.
  8. Need help with removing a broken pcv valve

If you can’t get it out, just pay for a valve adjustment and new valve cover. It would be worth it.
  9. Please help me identify is this is a Fuel Pump Issue or Starter!!

It’s extremely likely that you just need a new battery. If it is the battery, the Everstart maxx from walmart is as good as any other regular lead-acid battery from any auto parts store. You’ll save 50-75 bucks. But don’t listen to us. Actually get a diagnosis from somebody qualified to make...
  10. Shifter console

Likely stage 2 Acuity kit that replaces the spring, rocker arm, base bushings. Check under the hood on the back side of the engine to the right. Look for where the shifter cables connect to the transmission levers. See if the round bushings are purple. Solid cable bushings is a common...
  11. My fully built Civic Si complete list of modifications

I also really liked the Si seats when I bought the car. 5 years later they are destroying my back. There’s no headroom in the coupe for anyone over 5’10” so the seat has to be as low as possible. I don’t like to be reclined when I drive. The top part of the seat pushes your shoulders in. So...
  12. SI trunk lid swap? Coupe to Sedan trunk

The rear end isn’t even the same shape, man. The coupe tail lights are cool. There’s not a single car on the road with even remotely similar tail lights. If you really hate them, trade the car in for a Sedan.
  13. How bad did I mess up? Rolled backwards in neutral and shifting into Reverse

You should see how bad a manual trans semi truck grinds when years of incompetent truck drivers have toasted the clutch brake. Grinds every single time it’s put into 1st gear even at a stop. Still runs for years. This isn’t a semi truck, but still. They can take more abuse than you’d think...
  14. Gas?!?

Every model in Honda’s lineup using direct injection and 87 octane fuel have some people getting fuel injectors replaced at 80-120k miles. Not saying defective injectors don’t exist, but they are just so sensitive to any tiny bit of buildup or speck of junk that gets in them. My stock Si only...
  15. Gas?!?

If your car recommends 91+, then use premium always. If it doesn’t recommend 91+ and you’re running 87 octane, use a fuel injector/fuel system cleaner gas additive every 5k or 10k miles. It will save you issues with clogged injectors. Walmart is the best place to buy these cleaners.
  16. Favorite all season tire?

Continental DWS06 plus is an awesome tire, but it isn’t perfect. Grip is unmatched, but the sidewall is soft. Which isn’t ideal for hard cornering. I put Michelin Pilot Sport All season 4s on my Accord V6. Stiffer sidewall, maybe slightly less grip than DWS06. I’d guess wet/winter traction...
  17. Need help, im hitting 22 Psi with just a cold air intake, I know this isnt normal numbers

I feel like ive seen 22 psi for a split second a few times in just the right air temp/humidity conditions, but yeah it’s not normal to see it consistently. I know for sure you’ll never see higher than 16-17 psi in 4th gear on a highway speed pull. 4th gear is limited on the stock tune to...
  18. First time Si buyer questions

2019 would have been the last year without Honda sensing. The infotainment got a volume knob, and there were a few other minor tweaks/improvements. 2019 is the best year of the 10th gen Si in my opinion. I don’t like LED headlights.
  19. Catastrophic oil loss

Double gasket on the oil filter? Usually that’ll start spewing oil the second it gets turned on after an oil change.
  20. Why did they stop production of coupes

Coupes are only bought by people willing to sacrifice practicality for performance and styling. In 2015 the 10th gen civic was presented as a coupe concept car. Companies are having difficulty justifying two different architectures for the same model. They may be starving the market of...
