You can't really keep them from happening but there are good products, and even home remedies using vinegar, to remove them when you get them.
Doc fees are usually separate from license\tax\tags (LTT). It's probably a coincidence that they add up to the same amount. More importantly to me, who paid for all those extra add-ons? That was highway robbery!
@ne0guri I found your eBay listing and bought it. Please take good care of me. I feel bad that COVID screwed up your Si life and getting my Ktuner at your expense is not my preference. It's a little bitter sweet for me.
I provided links for what I used. You could also go to your local Autozone\PepBoys\parts store. I'm sure they would have a variety of solutions. Please keep an close eye on your stuff in the meantime. I don't know how long it would take to cause damage.
The strut bars get really hot. You need to protect any hoses (or wires) that touch it. They also rub against the bar, which is not good.
By the way, the Ultra Racing also a really good strut bar. Good choice.
I did a few little things today.
While working from home I wrapped my rear H in matte black 3M vinyl.
Turned my wheels lugs from this
Got them on eBay, here.
Installed my DC strut bar the other day but hated the nasty heat shield they give you.
So I replaced it with this...
Just dropping in to say I got my blue Si COUPE on JULY 30. Exactly what I wanted. I traded in my 2018 EXT COUPE. Before that I had a Veloster Coupe and before that a Celica COUPE. I really prefer a COUPE. Yes, I am in the 6% of Civic owners who bought a COUPE. But, it's not true that nobody...
Their statement is contradictory to what I've seen posted everywhere, and it's very interesting if true. Honestly, I wouldn't have an issue giving a dealer 90 days, if that's what they needed to get paid. However, I have zero sympathy for car dealers and their ability to make money. That's...
I really don't understand having an "emotional attachment" to an inanimate object. I have my wife and family to fill that need. I will say I really enjoy my Si (even though I just got it) and I have enjoyed other cars before it. I'd say this Si ranks up there for potential. Time will tell. OP...
That's actually not a terrible deal on an Si. Congrats.
And, I agree with you on paying it off. Dealers have no right dictating how we pay for cars, including making demands on what bank or loan amount. If that's what it took to get the deal\car you wanted, then so be it. Enjoy writing that big...
Just got it last week so not much, yet. Chrome delete on window trim and smoked side markers is all so far. Tint scheduled in 2.5 weeks. Waiting for 600 miles and then Ktuner is happening. Might get a PRL CAI (race MAF). More cosmetic stuff coming but no plans for a lot of bolt-ons.
