  1. Can I get to 50 MPG?

I was able to get 50mpg routinely on my 180 mile commute over the summer. Got a bit lower after I had the car tuned. I'd imagine with hypermileing that number could be much higher.
  2. Debadged.

I used googone to take my badges off if I remember correctly. The OEM Honda ones came off in a matter of minutes. It was the god damn dealer sticker that took a ridiculous amount of time to remove.
  3. Would you buy your car again?

I actually liked the coupe until I saw one at night. The tail light(s)....ugh.
  4. Would you buy your car again?

Conceptually it's a great car, they just didn't have the quality control that they're known for in my opinion. The subwoofer rattles and the CarPlay issues were really irritating. The dealerships not acknowledging those issues was worse. I'd revisit the sedan for my wife after it gets a 6...
  5. 2017 Hatchback now live on - accessories pics live too!

That thing is hideous. And man did they screw folks waiting for a 6 speed with that paltry options package.
  6. What did you do to your Civic today?!

I've had German cars before. In my experience, it depends a lot more on the driver then just the engineering alone. That said, I'm definitely prepared to pay more for maintanence. Well worth it if you actually enjoy driving.
  7. What did you do to your Civic today?!

Yea. Could have been worse. Have me more for my trade and I worked them down a bit on the price. Really ended up just paying for extended warranty.
  8. What did you do to your Civic today?!

Traded it in for a 2012 Audi A4 S-Line. The Civic X is an awesome car and it was serving it's purpose well. The feature list destroys most other cars current generation models from other manufacturers (including my A4). Incredible gas mileage, easy to tune, and what will probably be a great...
  9. KTuner looking for 16 Civic's to test tunes!

All of this. The car has much better pickup and throttle response at high speeds. 70-100 is a blast for a 1.5 engine, but the improvements can be felt from a dead stop on up. Acceleration is great in all driving modes, L, S, and D, and no, I'm not tripping. It's very noticeable. It's a great...
  10. KTuner looking for 16 Civic's to test tunes!

Agreed. I've had a great experience with them. They respond very fast to make sure everything is going smoothly. Now I just need to get my data logs in a little faster and all will be well. Money well spent.
  11. Road noise (tires?)

I have it narrowed down to those or another set of Continentals. The Conti's have been good to me but the Civic is no sports car. Might be time for a Touring tire.
  12. If you could take back time?

No, I would have waited for a manual 1.5t and tuned the hell out of it. Driving a automatic has been a soul sucking experience. The engine is willing and with a tune it performs admirably, but the CVT is not my cup of tea. I'm hoping I won't be regretting this mistake for the next 4-5 years...
  13. Cars I've Raced In My EX-T

I'd agree that for a car that can achieve 50mpg, its quick. From a power and speed perspective it's got absolutely nothing on a 6/6 Accord Coupe, though. Nothing.
  14. Official MODERN STEEL METALLIC Civic Thread

MSM is a safe pick. If you're not really looking for attention, it might be the best pick.
  15. Different colors

Clover green looks like a pickle car. Merlot looks pretty good. Deep copper looks like a ketchup car. Midnight Mocha looks like a turd on wheels. Mountain air looks like a Dolphins fan won a free paint job.
  16. 10K mile club

Delaware to central Jersey. As far as commutes go, it's a really easy drive 90% of the time, just 160 miles a day. Commute might change to DE to Philly, so it would turn into about 80-90 miles round trip I'm eyeing a 2012 Acura SH-AWD 6 speed right now. I'll take a bath on trade, but I should...
  17. 10K mile club

Me too. 10k in about 3 months. Wondering how many more miles I'll have the car for. My commute is about to get cut in half, so I might pick up a used 6spd of some kind.
  18. 2.0 vs 1.5T

    Exactly right.
  19. 2.0 vs 1.5T

I can get over 50mpg on my 160 mile commute if I'm patient enough. Basically just driving the whole thing at the speed limit. Honda underrated this car in a lot of ways.
  20. Is the EX-T fun to drive?

Actually low and sport mode is like downshifting. Not exactly the same, obviously, but they serve their purposes just as well. And not for nothing, but you've got way to many steps up there to perform a simple passing maneuver with a manual transmission.
