  1. 2018-2019 Fuel Pump Motor Recall

I'm convinced that my low pressure pump is crapping out. I tried to have my car custom tuned yesterday, and no matter what he tried, the tuner could not add any power to the top end (even when my duty cycle was at 85% or less). My VIN isn't included in the recall though, for some reason (I have...
  2. Pushing Direct Injection Limits at 480+whp

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar enough with what's needed to mod the pump. Would you possibly have a link to the specific Walbro pump?
  3. Pushing Direct Injection Limits at 480+whp

Do we know if there is a good, inexpensive low pressure (in tank) pump available? I'm convinced that mine is crapping out, but my VIN is not included in the recall.
  4. Would you trade a BB order at msrp for this??

I found that very combination just a few months back, when I decided to pull the trigger on a 12K mile 2013 Audi TT RS. It was a single owner car, previously owned by a guy in his 50's that never really took it out of the garage. Time will tell how it holds up, but I think that if you have it...
  5. Would you trade a BB order at msrp for this??

    Yes, though I'd prefer a Cayman R.
  6. Is Getting Tuned in the Summer a Mistake?

He is. He spent a good portion of the day on the phone with Derek from Innovative, and I trust that he knows his stuff and did what he could. At this stage, the major issue seems to be the top end, with DIFP starting to rapidly fluctuate up and down over 5k RPM.
  7. Is Getting Tuned in the Summer a Mistake?

My fuel pump seems to freak out over 5K RPM whenever we try to push power even a little bit above the basemap (~346 whp). At this point, it looks like my pump is just super weak and not willing to flow. My VIN isn't included in the recall though, so who knows.
  8. Is Getting Tuned in the Summer a Mistake?

Do you think that I'll need to get retuned in the winter?
  9. Is Getting Tuned in the Summer a Mistake?

Hi all. I'm at my local custom tuner (well regarded by all, including Derek), and we seem to be having difficulty making any additional power beyond the Hondata basemap. I'm currently full bolt on with intercooler and exhaust, including the PRL inlet pipe and charge pipe kits. We baselined at...
  10. Lust's FK8 Civic Type R Track & Street Build

Cool. What does it feel like to have a stiffer rear sway? Do you only notice the difference at the limits, or does it feel different in day to day driving as well?
  11. Good to know the CTR can take a mechanical overrev...

I love both my Type R and my 6 speed manual 2013 TT RS. Best of both worlds!
  12. Type r 2020 new accessories.

That engine cover is an EDM part? It looks like Aerospec.
  13. Finished up my console trim with Overland Designs stuff

Is the black material a perfect match for the arm rest? Looks nice!
  14. Automatic Transmission Conversion?

The Mk3 Audi TT RS sounds sublime, has 400 hp, AWD, and is one of the last coupe sports cars out there. It also comes with a DCT.
  15. Anyone with Carbon Fiber Fender Vents?

Thanks. From your write up, it sounds like the too-small hole is a known issue with the APR side vents. Would you willing to reach out to them to let them know about the issue? I don't know that I'd feel comfortable drilling carbon fiber, so I might have to wait for a future batch.
  16. Anyone with Carbon Fiber Fender Vents?

Thanks. Did you just use a drill bill to widen the hole?
  17. Fell out of love with my FK8...

We just recently added a 2013 Audi TT RS 6MT to the family. Compared to the Type R, it's super quick off the line, with crazy part throttle turbo response that kicks in even lower in the Rev range than a tuned Type R. It is also at least as capable in high speed cornering - I've taken sharp...
  18. Metallic sound when decelerating

I had to remove my turbo assembly in order to drill out a broken downpipe stud. This involved removing the wastegate arm. Since reconnecting it, I've noticed that I don't seem to hear the ringing anymore on throttle off. It's very possible that it's just being masked by the loud burbling of my...
  19. Remus Exhaust: Detailed Review

With an aftermarket downpipe and the baffle 100% open, I find it extremely loud. Get a Catless DP and you'll have all the noise you can handle.
  20. Remus front pipe back for trade socal

With an aftermarket Catted DP, it ranges from slightly louder than stock (closed) to very, very loud (100% open). For me 10% open provides just a hint of growl without much rasp. Any more open than that with an aftermarket DP and it's rasp city.
