So I am a little bitch when it comes to impacting the feel of the Type R. I really only got one because torque steer had been solved essentially in a FWD platform. So I'm enjoying it, got 19" NSX wheels for daily / track, but I want to run a more aggressive tire for the track, and don't like...
So this is awesome.
TLDR - EVENTURI directions incomplete / wrong - I did get it installed after much pain
Longer summary desired, but I still don't want to read all this nonsense and figure out how it ended. Ranting is encouraged-
######EVENTURI DIRECTIONS ARE TERRIBLE, MISS COMPLETE...
So I'm starting to think about a different hood for better airflow. Even though I haven't had heat issues, I believe when I track it's more to do with the ambient temperature being nice and cold the times I've gone. So I'm realistic about it prob needing a little something at some point if I...
Today's educational instructor led demo's dished out to -
BMW 740i that punched it next to me off a light then quickly slammed onto the brakes into a nice sweeping turn - better luck next time fren.
Tesla - fastest straight line toaster ever! Uh oh - here comes a turn - bye now mr...
So I took a trip with a buddy of mine to see Nine Inch Nails in Colorado / Red Rocks ampitheater - and it allowed us days of driving all over the mountains in the Type R.
This car is just phenomenal. I averaged 36mpg on the drive up and it was such a comfortable ride we ended...
So I'm going to Colorado later this month and probably taking the Type R. While I tried to source a spare, I was unsuccessful. My idea is this -
Currently running NSX wheel setup with hub centric rings
For the road trip I was going to put on my stock wheels, then if I got a flat I would...
So I may be taking a road trip with my Type R - I thought I could get a spare tire for the stock setup and be good to go - but those are discontinued - so, barring someone selling a kit here I don't see that happening.
What would I need to get to have a good cheap spare for a compliment to my...
So I have a set of NSX wheels - love em - but when I turn right I hear a tic tic tic tic noise, like something touching the wheel or something? Or a pebble bouncing around - just on right turns. It doesn't happen on left turns.
To resolve I've tried -
Spraying out my dust shields for pebbles...
So I did the math, and hay is cheaper than either 87 octane or 93/91, and it isn't specifically listed in the manual that you CAN'T do this?
I just have some questions for you guys -
- If I am riding the horse, how do I stop the car? Should I train the horse to only stop on hills? (having...
I got my hands on a set of NSX wheels, however the tires on them are -
Re71. 265 fronts 245 rear -
As I'm going to be putting fresh tires on there, is there a benefit to leaving staggered like this or am I better off just going 245 all the way around?
I bought a set of QuickJacks to use for car maintenance and thought I finally had a solution for the low type R. They work great on my M2 - another low slung car - but on the Type R - the plastic side skirts block the pinch welds at key lift points and so I can't get the jack to line up with...
Would there be any way to just get the base from a European drivers Type R seat in order to give it the same raise / lower functionality of the drivers side seat? If I had that all my wifes back sitting issues would be over.
Any way to accomplish that or order one?
Any European Type R gents...
So I tried installing some risers for the passenger seat in my car, but couldn't get the bolt back into the mounting hole for the seat and feel that the threads got cross threaded.
Anyone know what size tap to use for that so I can put things back together?
On our cars, the drivers seat has the ability to raise up, as well as go back and forth. Is there any way to add that feature to the passenger seat?
Can the base be purchased from a Euro spec Type R and added to our seat on the passenger side?
So I had the 19 as most of you know, loved it - ended up selling primarily because the ride was too sharp for my wife with her back issues, so I was finding myself driving around solo more often than not.
Took advantage of the high sales prices - sold my 19 for 40k with 15k exciting miles on...
So I recently sold my 2019 Type R, did the adult thing blah blah blah - and even though I have a stupid fun M2 (dual clutch, non stickshift but super entertaining) - the Type R just.......drove different? Is the orange to the apple I own and the best incarnation of a stickshift I've owned in a...
