At long last, I had time to install my Seibon hood.
A couple of pointers for anyone looking to do the same:
1. You're gonna need a helper, bottom line. You just won't be able to line it up without another person. I tried for awhile and just had my wife come outside and it was done in a minute...
Thanks. It was admitedly a bit crooked, which would ultimately make me redo it anyway. My solution is to paint the mesh black, switch the whole assembly to my SGP 2017 after I get the hockey stick trim painted and put the carbon ones on the white car (SGP has no ACC)
Sad day. Finally got her out on the highway and the ACC flipped out pretty quickly.
Perhaps its because I used the white mesh but I don't see why that would matter.
Was cool while it lasted but I don't wanna deal with warning lights constantly. Switchin back to stock cover when it arrives.
I stole your whole move, including buying the mesh and the extra cover just in case.
I did go for the white, figuring I can paint black easier than the other way around if I’m not digging it. My mesh is pressure fitted in there with some tape around the only edge that isn’t secure.
Very cool...
No click-bait here folks, first person to give me 75 bucks takes it.
The unit itself is an older one, but it does have wired Carplay and Android Auto. Basically you just plug the dongle into the radio USB and then a USB cable into the dongle, its already set up, couldn't be simpler.
Everything...
So less of a solution for you and more of a general thought:
I too have dealt with squeaks, rattles, clunks, clanks, bumps and all manner of assorted noises since modifying my civics.
After endeavoring to track down the source of each and every annoyance, sometimes succeeding and sometimes...
better late then never! This weekend I'm gonna take one off my white car and check it on the grey one, prob shoulda just done that to begin with. If it works, I'll order another set.
