  1. Fuel trim hot weather

2nd-ing serious issue. What part of Florida are you in, I'd be happy to help chase this down with you if you're close. I'm near Jacksonville myself.
  2. Fuel trim review? I'm paranoid and need you guys ❤

Pulling fuel out, it almost seems like it's measuring air on MAF that's not reaching the throttle body. Either you flashed the RACE MAF while having a non-race MAF, or you're losing air along the way. I'd check for boost leaks or a gapped air connection between the turbo and throttle body. I'd...
  3. My review after 6 months of ownership

If you want just a bit more noise, the muffler delete wasn't obnoxious, personally it wasn't loud enough for me. But everyone has different tastes. I have a before and after in my post history of you think that's a direction you'd want to go. Hell, I have a muffler deleted stock exhaust I'd mail...
  4. Testing Competition Clutch Stage 2 with 20 lb Single Mass Flywheel

Chiming in here! I'm on the Action Clutch Stage 3 plus Aluminum flywheel, purchased through MAPerformance. Can definitely say that yes, despite heavier pedal, definitely dailyable, and I expect the Stage 2 to be even more so. Even the six-puck stage 3 can slip enough to be easy in first and...
  5. CLUTCH UPGRADE

I'm dailying it now, and was when I broke it in. You need to be more precise on rev matching up AND down, but it's not bad, even in mild to moderate stop and go traffic. If you live in a huge city, that might be cause enough to go with a full face organic clutch. Me personally, I love it, it...
  6. CLUTCH UPGRADE

I just finished breaking in my Action Clutch Stage 3 and flywheel. So far so good, I can slip it enough to not jerk in first and reverse, pedal feel is a little heavier but manageable. That said, I've heard nothing but good things about the retrofit Type R clutch from E-man. And as far as weak...
  7. Ethanol Sensor Spikes, high 1.30 kctrl, Coolant Gauge Disappearing, and Diagnosis/Fix!

You're the experts, and I definitely defer to that. Thanks for confirming, you guys really are the best!
  8. OEM (Type-R) Style aftermarket Headlights: Good Quality?

If you're looking at LED bulbs, the Beamtech fanless have been bright and strong for 10,000 miles for me.
  9. Ethanol Sensor Spikes, high 1.30 kctrl, Coolant Gauge Disappearing, and Diagnosis/Fix!

And to confirm what I saw, here's the log of what happened. KCtrl shot up to 1.30 despite no knocks, ECT1 spiking up and down.
  10. Ethanol Sensor Spikes, high 1.30 kctrl, Coolant Gauge Disappearing, and Diagnosis/Fix!

That's... Disconcerting. Might be an unknown feature of the stock ECU, failsafe rereading of ECT1 if ECT2 gets out of whack? Definitely didn't physically touch ECT1 since it's on the opposite side, but it definitely went to minimum and then back up, on the gauge and ECT1 reading in KTuner. I'm...
  11. Ethanol Sensor Spikes, high 1.30 kctrl, Coolant Gauge Disappearing, and Diagnosis/Fix!

My thinking about the KCtrl values and ECT1/Gauge disappearing was that although KTuner repurposes ECT2, it doesn't change the factory error states for when that sensor goes dead or out of range. Does that line up with y'all's experience? I can't explain how else the gauge would be affected.
  12. Ethanol Sensor Spikes, high 1.30 kctrl, Coolant Gauge Disappearing, and Diagnosis/Fix!

I found it in less than 10 minutes, but as a computer expert, robotics hobbyist, and former satellite and radio technician, I should have figured it out sooner. Low or no readings are common with signal or power issues, or connections. High AND low is definitely a signal or power ground issue...
  13. Ethanol Sensor Spikes, high 1.30 kctrl, Coolant Gauge Disappearing, and Diagnosis/Fix!

Evening all! I recently installed the PRL Flex Fuel Kit (amazing hardware btw!), flashed the TSP Stage 2 Tune, and was doing some shakedown pulls. Prior to this, I noticed ethanol percentage would go from 9/10% on 93, which is normal and expected. Occasionally, I would notice it reporting 15+20%...
  14. The New daily WOP Si coupe and build progress.

Great build man! I personally like the ocean shimmer, but as a Tonic Yellow Pearl owner my color choices are on question lol
  15. Popped a charge pipe... Twice!

Good tip! I believe it was because it was removed for my clutch install, since the pipes popping off are the ones on the clutch side. I have reinstalled each according to PRL's instructions, and been liberal with tightness and checking for even pressure and no bulging. But if it happens on more...
  16. Popped a charge pipe... Twice!

Just a reminder for y'all to make sure if you run an Intercooler to ensure your clamps are PAST the lips, and not on it! Not doing so had me reattaching these on the roadside or parking lot, on two occasions. Don't make your Si naturally aspirated!
  17. Fuel trim review? I'm paranoid and need you guys ❤

Update: After installing TSP Stage 2 and disabling Rev Hang, I notice a lot more STFT variation, waaaay more than the BOV. I'm re-enabling rev hang because the flywheel and clutch (Action Clutch Sprung Stage 3), the mechanical component of rev hang is gone, and I don't want to wet the cylinders...
  18. Fuel trim review? I'm paranoid and need you guys ❤

I'm thinking it's normal, just temperature variations.
  19. Knock control less than .49?

Yep, mine does it too, completely normal. FREE TIMING ADVANCE WOO!
  20. FMIC for stage 1?

With a FMIC and charge pipes, you'll gain a little power, and no it's not NEEDED, but you'll get colder temps and less heat soak. I did mine myself, and it wasn't a bad install at all! That and the 27WON Intake drastically lowered my IATs to typically only 10 degrees above ambient in the Florida...
