  1. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Based on your long list of failures it's obvious how gentle you are with your car. Appreciate the details. I'll add you to the failure thread soon.

...shelf) tune and the car’s top end got even better. Pls note that there are not many OTS tune options for the CVT out there (particularly for my ECU version i.e., P51). Next step was to get an upgraded intercooler along with the DP/FP combo. After this I started educating myself with basic...

...type r intake manifold and doing more to upgrade the fuel system, also have CF hood on its way currently Problems/issues: I’ve had to replace ecu, one of the tires busted, stock injectors went out, replaced trans coolant w filter, both o2 sensors, spark plugs three times, the rear bottom...
  4. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

What climate do you live in? I've noticed if the temps get below freezing my right rear shock clunks. I'm pretty sure I read awhile ago that this is a known issue that comes from the factory.
  5. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

...approx. 24,000 km (Car has 114,000 km total) Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V2 Tunes used: KTuner base tune, VTEC at 4K, no other significant ECU tweaks Fuel used: since tuned = Petro 94 mostly, sometimes Shell 93. Petro/Shell 91 if needed (Prior to mods I ran Pioneer 87 all the time...)...
  6. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Again, I’m a hondata guy, but on that platform it’s locked to an ECU. I don’t have to log in from a laptop. My hondata can connect to any laptop. But it will only talk to the ECU it’s married to without getting a divorce (reflash to stock).
  7. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

The program wouldn't open until I connected the Ktuner for the first time too and if u look at the Ktuner unit info it say your ECU etc. without the Ktuner being connected. Has anyone tried connecting 2 different Ktuner? I think the program will ask you for your email and password, maybe i'm...
  8. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

...unit to my laptop, log out, then reconnect to a different laptop, and log in, to see if this works. I wonder if I can test this with different profiles on the one laptop. I don't have access to two different windows laptops. Anywho, yeah, it looks like the unit locks to the ECU, not the laptop.
  9. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

So Ktuner is locked to a laptop account and not a specific ECU? Hondata wont let you plug into a different ECU unless the previous ECU is reset to stock.
  10. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

this is correct, all you have to do is log out of your account and into another. I just tuned my buddies Si monday during the eclipse lol. (this was on Ktuner)
  11. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Don’t know ktuner but a hondata is locked to the ECU unless you reflash the ECU to stock. It is not locked to a laptop. You can plug it into any laptop. It’s only locked to a specific car unless that car is reflashed to stock and unlocked. if You’re selling the tuner with the car shouldn’t be a...

...street and the 27Won TIP attachment to go along with it. I need to pass smog and haven’t been able to find someone that can completely bypass the ECU check that we have in CA. I also haven’t been able to find someone with the same vehicle year and model to flash vins and pass my car. It’s...
  13. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Yeh I never had the Honda reps say anything to me. I’m certain they feel the difference. I mean with an oil change I literally have “ktuner” on the engine bay, they can def see the CAI + rv6 dp. One of the service advisors love it and even wants me to lower it and add spacers. 😅. - But I guess...
  14. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

...maintenance I actually just leave it tuned. But, if anyone is going to a dealer to diagnose a drivetrain issue or doing any sort of warranty work, flashing to stock and unlocking your tuning device from the PCM/ECU is definitely smart. @arpypat thanks for posting the heads up in this thread.
  15. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

...dealer originally diagnosed my issue as a bad PCM and replaced it before moving on to the injectors. Well, the PCM is more commonly known as an ECU, so now I have a new ECU that my Ktuner is not paired to anymore... To anyone out there that brings their car in for diagnosing an issue, I...
  16. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Ok so, Ktuner answered me really quickly! He said; Open other version. Now there are all the parameters with the ECU software ***-C73 not the C75. Just for info here some screenshot from ktuner application (i can select 2 software, that's why i'm waiting for the Phearable 1.5 tune!
  17. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I just noticed something, Ecu Software are 37805-5AN-C750 not 37820-5AN-C750 (like alllll the ecu number in the Ktuner site.) FK when I took pictures of my ecu I never worried about the numbers in front of the ****-5AN- Am I screwed?
  18. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Is there a way to adjust parameters in the program without being connected directly to the ECU? If I open a base map (not connected to the ECU) on my laptop there is only "MAF scaling & Quick Adjustment" in main parameters. There are many more parameters that I am supposed to see and my ECU...

Awesome, appreciate it. Will post my setup once I have everything all set 😀
  20. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

So you get your KTuner V1.2 and tune file from TSP. 1. Upload the free KTuner software to your PC 2. Lock your KTuner to your car's ECU via the OBD-II port. 3. Register your KTuner unit via the KTuner software. 4. Load the TSP tune file into the KTuner software and the upload your tune into...
