...Pipe, PRL Flex Fuel Kit Problems/issues: Nothing major, once had an oil seal leak and currently an unexplained rise in knock control only at low rpm range (1300-1500rpm) Driving style: Totally depends on what the traffic conditions allow. Most of the day time it’s a very normal drive hardly...

...1.5. Shortly after that I noticed it wouldn't hold cruise control anymore, and concluded the clutch was slipping. It would only slip at higher RPM or under load. Replaced the clutch with an ACT HC10 HDSS. Going to baby it for a couple hundred miles , might retune back down. After the breakin...

...ARP head studs, and intercooler with piping going in. considered a turbo upgrade but Dan said not necessary unless you’re going flex fuel. Stock is fine on 91. Aftermarket will push torque back in RPM range but with the clutch upgrade you’re good to go with low end torque being fast onset.

That looks like East Canyon. Have the roads opened yet or was that from last year? Looks like there are a few of us in the SLC area on these forums. @wallacengineering @bluerazz Maybe we should meet up and cruise East Canyon when it opens?

...curvy mountain roads like the one pictured below. I push the car quite hard on these drives and usually don't shift up until about 6,000 RPM and hit around 120 MPH on the short straight by like lake on this particular route. Tune experience notes: To be updated soon, but according to...

...I've posted about this same exact thing over the years. I started with Hondata and their +6 tune. It was solid but basically stock-ish at lower rpm with a decent top end. Switched to KTuner and the Starter 21 as you know is great down low but disappointing up top. Switched to TSP and it felt...

Is there a way to get the feeling with the starter 21 low RPM and that kick at the top with TSPs stage 1? 👀
  8. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Now remember, my tune is the North American one and a CVT. The behavior I encountered with the TSP 1 has been non-existent on the Phearable tunes (in the same scenario).

I never really encountered hesitation, it is just a bit laggy below 3k rpm until the pressure gets build, I guess. A quick fix for me when this happened was to fully release the accelerator and then try again to push it slowly, sometimes it worked right away but sometimes it took a couple of...

I have experienced the second gear jerking on every tune including stock, I just kinda put it down to a characteristic of the car. Specifically in second gear at low RPM as mentioned above. I've never had any real hesitation or jerkyness when giving it the beans.

Spot on explanation. I haven't really pushed the car yet with the TSP tune so I haven't seen how much of a difference that tune made compared to the Ktuner 21. I'd say 80% of my driving is local.. basically to work, gym, etc. So I do prefer that twitchy feel you explained. I just felt like I...

...like a V6. So much low speed fun! Plenty of midrange punch too. But, take it out on the highway, gun it and the top end fizzles out after 5,000 rpm. Falls off a cliff. But around town on city streets, it's a blast. Then, you hear great things about the TSP 1 so you upgrade. But it feels...
  13. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I’ve decided not to go with their turbo upgrade due to the fact all the gains are at very high RPM, which is not how I drive. and, for the record, I will run 0-20 oil in the new block for the first 30k miles, but then, as always, go to 5-30.

Not yet, yesterday it was at night and it wasn't really in a good spot to do a pull (going up a hill). I'm going to try again at a better spot (flat) preferably during the day (if i'm alone....) with MAP 2 and 3! It's the Easter holidays, there are lots of cars everywhere and the roads are full...

Have you tried Maps 2&3 yet? Remember, they'll feel similar down low to Map 1. But past 4,000 rpm they'll rocket. Map 3 from 4,000-5,500 rpm is basically a freight train.

Actually fuel trims look really good in both logs. Second one is a bit better though.

Hey GT! So this is the datalog from this morning on my way to work. Misfiring like crazy, could barely drive the car over 3k RPM with a certain amount of throttle. (Datalog0004) and just now i changed the spark plugs and gapped to 0.30. Did a little datalog for that as well. (Datalog0005) Let...

...Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06+ tires Problems/issues: None Driving style: Gentle with car until coolant hits the mid temp on the dash (3000 rpm and under). Occasional sprints to 4-5k rpm when passing but usually sticks to the 1.5k-4k range in traffic. About every 2-4 weeks, I'll go on a...
