...tire/tools but also added weight such as strut bar. Also waiting to receive latest virtual dyno numbers on revised tune. I’m expecting the torque to be lower. It’s not a definitive aspect to follow up on legitimately, but it merely gives me an idea on where my car is at. I definitely feel as...

Are we talking about throttle response as far as making it a better daily driver? That's what's holding me back from the 1.5R tune. See I have Early Spool, Aggressive Throttle Response, Aggressive Ramp Rate, etc. all the way up on the 21 end user map. I don't mind only having to push the...

...ARP head studs, and intercooler with piping going in. considered a turbo upgrade but Dan said not necessary unless you’re going flex fuel. Stock is fine on 91. Aftermarket will push torque back in RPM range but with the clutch upgrade you’re good to go with low end torque being fast onset.

...up and is an absolute blast! Curiosity: As stated before, I'm a little nervous to push to much power to the CVT. Hard to tell how much torque I'm making. I want to upgrade the intercooler, but I'm nervous about pushing too much power and wrecking my transmission. If anyone knows much about...

...See what I mean about the factory tune being mediocre? Wait til you get the Phearable tune. It's much more refined than the base maps. More top end and a gentler low end torque curve to protect the CVT. You'll need to give it a bit deeper push of the throttle at times (you'll see what I mean).

I have read this thread a couple of times now 😂 I am one who is very paranoid. No I haven’t had any significant fuel trim problems from the BOV. If anything, it actually makes the car run slightly leaner than usual. The one thing that made my car run quite rich was the PRL cobra CAI mixed with...

...a straight line, this is the mode that gives the best result for getting off the line and accelerating. As for gears, I am not aware of a HP/torque value that the stock 4th gear is limited to. A better way to think of it is the time that you are at full power in that gear. I ran the stock...

...from a short conversation i had with circut.heart: (some double image glitch can't figure it out). Essentially don't go above 250(which is the same amount that's some big turbo cvt's use and also clutch wise.) Sounds like a situation of what I call "makes too much torque for its own good."
  12. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I’ve been at 360 ft lbs of torque for 8 thousand miles and still on stock gears. Have done a total of 8-11 no lift shift 3rd to 4th gears and still no grinds or lockouts. The rods are definitely weaker than the gears. But then again my turbo hardly spools in the city so first and second gear I’m...

...her legs on this tune & turbo. Tuning truly woke up the SI. From factory tune to Phearable 1.5 felt akin to buying a whole new car in terms of torque & responsiveness. This undoubtedly contributed to the urge for more. The difference from Phearable 1.5 to Phearable 1.5R was very subtle, but...

27won claims 400 wheel torque is the limit on stock gears. However it really depends on how you drive, because it is well known around here that people have shredded 3rd and 4th well before reaching that number.

...Tuning experience: hands down worth it for this motor / trans. Behaves more like the older bseries cars of my past but more lower rpm torque. Will get a protune and report actual numbers, at this altitude, b18c, b16a/b typically put down 135-145 regardless of build on pump gas, will be...
