...(New) Tune experience notes: car is overall quicker. Raced a few cars on previous E85 revisions. Haven’t raced anyone on latest revision. 3rd gear feels so much stronger on latest revision granted I do have 65+ pounds of weight reduction such as lightweight battery and removed spare...

  5. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Now remember, my tune is the North American one and a CVT. The behavior I encountered with the TSP 1 has been non-existent on the Phearable tunes (in the same scenario).
  6. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I never really encountered hesitation, it is just a bit laggy below 3k rpm until the pressure gets build, I guess. A quick fix for me when this happened was to fully release the accelerator and then try again to push it slowly, sometimes it worked right away but sometimes it took a couple of...
  7. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I have experienced the second gear jerking on every tune including stock, I just kinda put it down to a characteristic of the car. Specifically in second gear at low RPM as mentioned above. I've never had any real hesitation or jerkyness when giving it the beans.
  8. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I ran the TSP 1 for a couple years. And overall it's a fine tune and big upgrade over stock. The one thing that bothered me and ultimately had me changing tunes is the occasional jerkiness/hesitation it had. It only happened in one scenario but it was super annoying. I'd be driving along on a...

...mods: none yet, thinking about mishimoto intake and oil catch tank - any suggestions are welcome Problems/issues: a wierd jerking in second gear in 1000-1800rpm range with very slight accelerator(it was like i was continuously pressing and let go of accelerator which i didn’t and also the...

...hit it very easily or consistently). Top-end also feels a bit lacking for the same reason. Driving style: Gentle except in third and fourth gear. I always have the CVT in manual mode and ride in a lower gear so that revs are around 2500-3000rpm when I start my pulls. Hardly ever a chance to...

...most of the times going and coming from work I am. When I merge I have to give it some gas and that’s when I always experience the problem 3rd gear going above 2k RPM that’s when everything gets crazy. I shift into 4th give it some gas and the same issues etc etc into the rest of the gears. I...

...car in the turns. For going in a straight line, this is the mode that gives the best result for getting off the line and accelerating. As for gears, I am not aware of a HP/torque value that the stock 4th gear is limited to. A better way to think of it is the time that you are at full power...
  15. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I'm still slightly confused about the traction control thing. Is it not advanced vsa or is it something else. Also regarding the gears, here's something from a short conversation i had with circut.heart: (some double image glitch can't figure it out). Essentially don't go above 250(which is...

...is holding up fine. My car is mostly a daily driver with the occasional canyon carving. So it’s never seen a hard track day yet. However with the stock transmission out I’ll be able to upgrade that over time with an LSD and actually strengthened gears if I choose to do so while the HPD one...
  17. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

You mentioned a strengthened 4th gear. I spoke to HPD a while ago when I went on my quest for upgraded transmission parts and learned they take the OEM gear and cryo treat and REM polish them. When asked if they were suitable for more than stock power they said NO. I mention this because I...
