  1. MAPerformance Stage 1 vs TSP stage 1

Yep. When I got mine the first time... I asked them to sort the tunes that way so it'd always be enabled on start and not have to swap to get it.
  2. Dealership made me laugh today

I replaced the rear shocks in my mother in laws car on a trip up from where she's at a couple hours away one evening a couple years back. About a month later... she had to get her alternator replaced at a car place between trips up and they told her all 4 of her shocks/struts were worn out and...
  3. 18" tire size.. will this setup fit. Please help!

Nope...my stock tires refuse to wear our or start sucking to where I want to ditch them. I’ll keep running them until they die. Indy 500s are on my short list though.
  4. Impact Wrench: Which one?

...if the sale price narrows the gap, for the extra features your mentioning, a larger drive and (supposedly) a little more torquing power, as much as I like the Dewalt, I’d do the Milwaukee in a re-do 6-7 years ago if I had the chance now. I’d like to have known if the 1500 vs 1200 breakaway...
  5. Impact Wrench: Which one?

I can just chime in with my experience with the Dewalt. I’ve had it for 6-7 years... and it was originally bought on my own dime based on its specs to help my guys with open/closing large shore power access hatches on submarines. This requires adapting to a 1” drive to try and push a 2”+...
  6. How far can you push the 1.5L?

You should get similar numbers... but a somewhat different delivery in power jumping out of a small V6 with electric assist. You’d also be going from a car that probably about 300 lbs lighter (3500 to 3200) so I’d expect even if the 1.5t falls a little short in power on a reflash, power to...
  7. The Sopranos - Who are your 3 most hated characters?

I think I must watch BoB about once every year or two since it came out. Great miniseries. Haven’t watched CYE before... but heard great things about it. It may be next on my list once the Sopranos is done. I expect we’ll be through it sometime time in the next 1-2 months. We’ve fallen off the...
  8. The Sopranos - Who are your 3 most hated characters?

Yeah... that’s where I’ve been watching it. A few episodes into season 5. Definitely a ‘downer’ season so far w/the separation. Not sure which way it’s headed. HBO good to have all its old series always available to watch. I’d gotten HBO exclusively for boxing years ago... and then starting...
  9. Update on my Boosted K20C2

I thought your phone was going to go through the windshield on that shift.🤣 Car sounds angry.
  10. The Sopranos - Who are your 3 most hated characters?

Yeah. I think I’m right at the end of season 4. I thought maybe they’d do something with her but at the most, she’s been a minor plot device to create angst in the house. I thought maybe she’d get knocked up... Christopher giving her the drugs would have blown up... something. They dabbled a bit...
  11. The Sopranos - Who are your 3 most hated characters?

Man... I don’t get her character. She’s crazy hot and cold sometimes... completely random and unpredictable. I hope that’s not how my 2 daughters are when they hit their teens... I’m going to send them to their room for about 1/2 a decade.
  12. Can we make a pops and crackles map happen?

"Warning: The Phearable.net Ktuner Stage 1.5 Tune WITH GOD MODE should be used with CAUTION. A crackle type tune requires extra fuel and negative ignition timing to create a crackle effect during deceleration which can cause damage to engine components after prolonged use. We are not responsible...
  13. Color of oil

So long as it’s not filled with crap to compromise flow (and for us highway drivers that don’t drive through dust storms... I can’t see that being a thing) the filter’s efficiency ought to keep rising as its on service. Seems counterintuitive, but filters will filter better and keep the oil...
  14. Color of oil

It's going to be darker because of residual oil left in the engine holding soot... then from running the car more the following day. If you were only on the schedule for oil only and not the filter... then you have a slug of used oil that's soot would dilute into the fresh oil... darkening it...
  15. Motor Trend's render of the 11th gen Civic sedan

As to a 1.8... I do not think there’s enough size in the L block to bore to 1.8. They’ve never offered an L in that size... but do 1.2-1.5. I can’t imagine they’d go back and massage an R18 which looks inferior to todays K20C2 and who's VTEC was economy-based rather performance. I think a K20C4...
  16. 27won turbo vs stock turbo 0-60 & 1/4

Gosh... I don't know. Either one is awful quick for a FWD in my book and matches a CTR's straight line. Kind of like dynos though... unless you were on the same one in the same environmental conditions (i.e. temp and elevation), and eliminated as many other variables as you could (i.e. running...
  17. 27won turbo vs stock turbo 0-60 & 1/4

I think E35 can make up for a lot of turbo-shortcomings. If you don't have to worry about detonation anymore... you can push boost pressure pretty wild until you're literally not pushing any more mass of air and can tweak ignition timing to the extremes. A well prepped track... good rubber and a...
  18. TSP Stage 1 vs Ktuner 19.5/23

It's just all in how you use it. If you don't hold WOT and let the CVT do what it does best up top... better than a manual even... then I'd agree the basemap is going to do all you likely want. It's punchy, torquey in the low/midrange and allows for a quick spool and is a good step up from...
  19. Is mid-octane even worth it?

My GY6 buggy does call for mid grade in its manual. Given it’s been rejetted from a 114 main to a 130 main along with some other stuff, it doesn’t matter such. With the 114 when you read the plug, it ran *lean*. It took a few up-jets to get the plug not looking like white burning death. I had to...
  20. TSP Stage 1 vs Ktuner 19.5/23

The stage 1 tune from TSP makes more peak power which the CVT will use to great effect as it will raise and hold the engine at peak power. Ktuner basemap will not make as much torque at higher RPMs to allow those higher horsepower numbers. They might feel the same for a moment in the midrange...
