The grip levels for the SC2's are night and day different compared to the PS4S's. The PS4s, handle mostly all conditions very well(except winter), while the SC2's are extreme traction. That is why they used them on the record 7:43 instead of the Conti's. The PS4s have a bit softer sidewall, as...
I know the feeling about practice in the CTR. I think slipping the clutch from about 3200-3300 rpm's worked better for me than a clutch dump at any RPM's in this car. If you are tuned to over 350 Torque, traction control off, you are going to roast your tires 1st and 2nd gears on a clutch...
The turbo blanket is worth its weight by far. You can actually touch the hood prop with your hand, and not get roasted.
The turbo has oil and water tubes to keep it cooler. It isn't like the days of old where the oil sits in the oil housing and cooks the bearings/journals.
This is at NOLA, in New Orleans. Ambient was ~91-92F.
As you can see, it got a little toasty. I lined up each of the high temps, so you can see where each one was.
ECT - 225F
ECT2 - 214F
IAT - 142F
IAT2 - 122F
This was 1 warm up lap, 3 hot laps, 1 cool down lap
I put in the X/Y graph for the...
Damn, I thought it was the other way around for like ever...lol...
My apologies all for the mis-information.
Wow, it heats up quick in that short amount of space...
yep/ bows head in shame...I will see if I can find my 12.2-12.5 testing sessions before I went..
Other than the tune and maybe DP, most mods were done with cooling and increased sound in mind.
Yes, but they do drop pretty fast. There aren't going to be many things you can do if you are moderately-high tuned and laying on full throttle 95% of the time. I would say it dropped from 260 to about 230 in about 30 seconds to a minute depending on...
I was at One Lap, and we had 14 track events(Haven't done my write up yet). My oil on day 1(Temp was at 92F) got over 260 at Autobahn CC. Tires were up there also. I was running Michelin PS4S's.
I have a high flow grill with the emblem removed, Turbo blanket, wrapped DP, reflective tape on any...
I just got back from One lap or America. 14 track events and 4200 miles. I still have over 1/2 pads on the front, and over 3/4 on the rear. They still grip like mad when I want them to. They release well and are predictable.
I added the oil temp gauge. Haven't got the coolant adapter to add an aftermarket sensor. But if you have a tuning solution, it does monitor it.

This was at Gateway in ST. LOUIS.
Bogged the launch,(didnt want to roast the tires), and 1st to 2nd shift didnt go in at first, so I lost about .5 seconds), I did lose traction at high rpms in 2nd, and 3rd, but it gripped and went fine, until I got to the finish line. Not sure if I let up before...
