I thought that may be an issue, so I ran mine which is paid off and it didn’t change a bit.
I’m looking for another VIN I can run and I’ll select “trade in” to see if that does anything. It’s really odd there is such a wide range.
I just ran 3 different VIN's and 3 different plates from different zip codes and the highest offer they put out to sell was $33.9K. I didn't bother selecting "trade" for obvious reasons, but I doubt it would change their offer much.
They are asking between $36-$38k for every model in that range, they are not offering $35k when they are going to try turn around at get $37k, there is not enough profit for them.

I know a few people that looked at a mini van before buying a type R, does that make it common place? Seems a little like an over generalization to me.

The friends would need to be under the age of 21, because that is who is the most hyped up about this particular vehicle and who are impressed by it. 90% of buyers have no idea what the hell this car is.
The older crowd turns up their nose at it, the kids think it is a rocket ship.
