What Acura caliper upgrade are you doing? Care to share some details it can help with your question.
I work for Acura and I can confirm that these DO NOT work on the REAR brakes of the ILX. Totally different brake design. The fronts may work but I can't confirm that the moment.
Was bored today so went ahead and completed my door lighting swap.
I had done the two front doors a while back and finally today did the rear doors.
All work as intended and works just as the dome light would.
Shut car off and lights illuminate a through the panel..
Open door light turns on...
Can it be done? Yes
Can it work with your current transmission, and existing drive line components? NO
With the right fabrication, new engine mounts, engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, wiring, etc, etc, etc an the list goes on.
7k is not enough for this you probably are looking at...
Here are 2 pics.
Left side is the sequential LED head lights and right side is oem head lights.
The driving pic toned down the light output slightly as I have a slight smoked tint over the head lights.
Happy with it.
The output to me seems pretty good. No complaints here. The cutoff on the oem is cleaner that's for sure. Other than that I'm happy with the switch over and I can verify anyone with factory LED can get the sequential and not just those with halogen factory head lights. This was mainly the reason...
If you have the OEM LED headlights (Canadian Touring, Si 17+, Type R, US Si 20, Type R, any with LED) You can get the Sequential Vland headlights to work!
I have confirmed these will work, you can get them from @Unity Performance...

I didnt disconnect the pedal connector and just let it hang and moved the pedal aside as I worked.
I removed the 3 (12mm) bolts and moved pedal aside.
Mounted the spacer and bolted it down with the original 3 (12mm) bolts.
