  1. Anyone get buyers' remorse over their trim choice? (1.5T vs 2.0L)

As good as the coupe looks, the sedan is still extremely sexy imo. It's been awhile since I authored this post but my endgame is now gonna be a Modern Steel Metallic '19 Si sedan. I've got a guy at work who has a red SI coupe, and while it does look awesome, I STILL find myself gazing back at my...
  2. Anyone who sees snow, how is your Civic performing?

I live in the snowbelt of the northern midwest, the only times I have had issues with winter (I have michelin x-ice tires) are: 1. When we got like 50cm+ in the course of one day, so at all times there was like 3-6" at least of dense, deep "get your car stuck" type snow. The city would plow...
  3. A question to Si owners

Just a random thought, but you don't need to call them "females" lol, feels super weird. Like reddit-weird. Just call them women/chicks/ladies/whatever like everyone else. We got no issues calling eachother dudes/guys or anything. Maybe it's just me but calling them "females" comes across as if...
  4. Does any1 feel Honda will finally listen, and the 11th gen Si will be a huge improvement power wise?

Actually theyre putting in turbos for fuel economy, don't kid yourself if you think the engine decisions they're making are for anything but emissions. Same for the CVT. Same as why toyota is using a launch gear now
  5. Any evidence that the 2.0 is detuned/overrated?

I really hate this expression tbh, there's no elasticity in a CVT, and the sheaves don't even pull the belt: it's a belt made of metal plates and the sheaves/pulleys actually push the belt. There's no rubber band effect, that's not even a thing. The delay with CVT acceleration is due to the...
  6. Any evidence that the 2.0 is detuned/overrated?

I have an EX CVT and it accelerates way faster than this, for sure. I have highwall mats as well and they add thickness, but mine are compressible so if I literally step into it I can still floor it. This does look like it's not being floored so your floor mats are probably not allowing that...
  7. Any evidence that the 2.0 is detuned/overrated?

This isn't an SI thread, go away, no one cares, that isn't the topic of discussion here.
  8. FINALLY! Switchback side marker Amber at night and blink with turn signal

Idk why this only showed now. I've been looking for this for SO LONG!! Thanks, whoever posted here!!
  9. 2.0L Another Intake found!!

A bigger pain than expected tbh. My box wound up pressing against a hose and troubleshooting how to fix that took up awhile. Wound up using a rubber sheet to act as a bushing but later in spring I'm gonna take it out, cut out that portion for the hose and put rubber to seal it, to prevent...
  10. 2.0L Another Intake found!!

Good choice, price is probably near the same and the aem is metal whereas this one is plastic . I use the aem one myself, I found I need to put a cloth beneath the tip of the filter to prevent vibration against the metal box to reduce resonance. But all in all sound is very improved and it does...
  11. 2.0L Another Intake found!!

H Heh it looks identical to the aem one, wonder if perf would be any different Edit: they use plastic instead of metal in the intake pipe and gains seem to show similar to aem, if not a little less
  12. 47mpg to the ski hill, 46mpg back. I love this car! (2.0L N/A)

Drove 30ish km to my local ski hill and got 47mpg, and got 46mpg on the way back. Gotta say I really love this car and its efficiency! I run tuned on my 2018 EX, with 91 octane and an aem intake. Using econ mode, temperature was around -7c in the morning and 0c in the afternoon. This was done...
  13. Cops that Speed and ride your tail......

yeah tbh i think hitting a deer would likely total a civic, especially if hit at-speed on a highway. If not, it seems to be at the perfect height to have ground deer splatter all throughout the inside of the passenger cabin so you'd probably need to replace all your upholstery anyways lol
  14. Cops that Speed and ride your tail......

going under the speed limit is totally suspicious lol. Because only very few people do it, and those that do are usually trying to not run off the road due to being impaired. I mentioned in my initial post that bashed going less than the speed limit, that I would be assuming that conditions are...
  15. 2.0L aFe Catted Downpipe

Just re-checked and updated k-tuner. Throttle response options are there now c: Gonna try TR2 and see how it feels
  16. 2.0L CVT Lag on 2.0 EX No Turbo

When you slam on the brakes your torque converter unlocks itself. You can feel this when braking normally too, around 10-15kmh or so you'll feel a change in how the forward momentum feels... Hard to explain but it's the torque converter freeing up. When you start accelerating your engine needs...
  17. Cops that Speed and ride your tail......

Uh dude, you can be selfish without "a specific malicious intent". People are selfish all the time without thinking "Hmm, I'ma be a dickhead today!!"
  18. Cops that Speed and ride your tail......

Way under the speed limit isn't a reasonable speed. If you're doing 40kmh in a 50kmh zone in the city at 6 in the morning when people wanna get to work, you're the asshole, not the people tailgating you. Fact is that many places in many cities don't have double lanes or passing lines, I can...
  19. Canada 2019 Sedans/Coupes are live. The 1.5T gone from all models but Touring and SI

I was a fan of the engine feel tbh, that and it was cheaper, at a time when I was already paying more than i was expecting/hoping for a vehicle (Ford dealership made a very aggressive offer that was very very cheap and Honda offered basically no discount aside from the normal 750 rebate)...
  20. SO - What's the single WORST feature of your Civicx?

It does for us push-start people.
