  1. Vehicle Shipping?? IL to FL

    Intercity without a doubt.
  2. CTR vs. Bike Canyon Carving

Missed opportunity at the end by not having the Wraith standing in the middle of the road.
  3. Rank in order your favorite type r color to the least favorite color

I agree with a lot that you have to say. The CTR won’t age well, but it will at least look different in a sea of bland styled vehicles years from now. I feel the same way about the new Supra that many people like to bash. At least it’s original, and just for that it appeals to me. When thinking...
  4. CTR at (or below?!!) sticker NICE LIST!

I just sent you a PM with a quick question.
  5. CTR at (or below?!!) sticker NICE LIST!

When did you buy your CTR from McLarty?
  6. Does it seem like there are a lot of short term owners?

Besides the low profile tires, I see no reason why the type r can not be a daily driver. It’s comfortable, has remarkable space for storage and passengers and does fairly well with gas mileage.
  7. Does it seem like there are a lot of short term owners?

I live in Illinois as well. We carve corn fields. Lol
  8. Does it seem like there are a lot of short term owners?

I can’t recommend enough test driving a 2019 or newer Miata. I think you will be impressed. With a few simple modifications to the suspension, it is a very capable car.
  9. Does it seem like there are a lot of short term owners?

Yep, me too. My CTR was my 62nd car in twenty years. I currently have the CTR, a 2020 Miata and a Ram 1500 for the dirty stuff. I usually keep a car for around a year. I think I got rid of my 2019 C7 GS in less than 9 months. Of all the cars, I think my 2007 Lotus Elise and my new Miata were/are...
  10. Does it seem like there are a lot of short term owners?

You and I have shared many of the same cars: STI, Focus ST, S2000. (A great list of cars) I’m finding that I like simplicity in my cars, and that is difficult to get these days. I look forward to bonding with my type r and understanding more of its potential, with when I’m just cruising or...
  11. Does it seem like there are a lot of short term owners?

I’m curious, what other cars have you owned? Please don’t take offense to my question. I’m truly interested in your perspective and of Napalm’s as well. I would like to see where you draw comparisons and how far or close my own experience are to yours. Thanks!
  12. Does it seem like there are a lot of short term owners?

Being still in the break in process, I haven’t run it through its paces. Once I do, it will help with my decision to keep it or move on. I don’t doubt its performance for its category. I think if anything, the car’s performance numbers match those of much higher priced cars. Thus, the root of...
  13. Does it seem like there are a lot of short term owners?

I owned a new 2006 MazdaSpeed for a little while. It never spoke to me. It was a Mazda that didn’t have the Mazda feel. I have difficulty enjoying most new cars today (post 2010). I sound like an old man, but all the integrated technology and desire to remove NVH has made cars more utilitarian...
  14. Does it seem like there are a lot of short term owners?

I bought my CTR new at the beginning of January. Due to weather, I have been limited to the amount of time I can drive the car (only about 600 miles so far). I will say I am disappointed with the car. It is rather numb and sterile in character, besides its exterior styling. I find it to be too...
  15. Throttle Controllers

Has any used a throttle (commander/booster) on their CTR? Like almost all new cars, I find the throttle input to be rather lazy, no matter if I’m in sport mode or not. I believe Injen has a throttle available. Anyone use this product, and if so, do you recommend the product? In the past, I have...
  16. CTR at (or below?!!) sticker NICE LIST!

Roush Honda has a SGP in stock. A salesman contacted me last week about the car. I too was put on a list but he made it sound like the car is available.
  17. What gas do you use in your Type R?

Oh, I have, and not to my liking. I rarely have to deal with heavy traffic. But as you know, idling a car is not a good thing for motors, especially DI motors. Listening to you guys talk about idling vehicles and cars parked outdoors in the bitter cold overnight, I’m going to let my CTR know...
  18. What gas do you use in your Type R?

The problem with Costco is you always have to wait in line for over ten minutes to get your gas. I don’t like idling my car for that long. So I know longer use Costco gas.
  19. Mods that will improve longevity but not increase performance

Speaking of oil temperature and pressure, does LogR provide true and accurate readings. I thought CTR did not have these sensors. Does the LogR use some kind of algorithm to determine pressure and temperature? Know these two data points is helpful in longevity.
  20. Who scored a Phoenix Yellow CTR Limited Edition?

Want to invest? Buy land, not a car.
