  1. DIY refrigerant recharge experiences

If your system is hooked up to a manifold gauge to monitor pressures on the low and high sides when your engine is running with the A/C cycling, the gauges can show an indication that refrigerant has been added only in an overcharge case in where the pressures would indicate. The only other way...
  2. DIY refrigerant recharge experiences

I've recharged the R134a system on my 2000 Honda Civic SI using a manifold gauge set, and a vacuum pump after replacing the A/C compressor. I can imagine modern day systems use a similar procedure. With the setup, the vacuum pump will suck all air out of the entire system from the low and high...
  3. 2020 Type-R Parts

I just ordered a pair for when I need to do a brake job in the future (which will probably be a long while). I figured I would get these now while they are cheap, and with these being over $300 each/$600 pair here in the US, I can imagine that they'll most likely cost more in the future from...

hmm, door mounted side view mirrors, new hood scoop/vent design but no fender vents. I do like the new rear wing design, as well as the headlights being quad beam.

  8. What did you do to your Type R today?

I used to work near Cos Cob/Greenwich. Never had any grilled corn. I've been to the Lancaster/Amish area a very long time ago. It's about a 4-5 hour drive from where I am so unless I'm taking a road trip, I won't be passing through there anytime soon. Although I do remember, it's the best place...

I drive around up there from time to time, definitely some nice roads around Kent, Sharon, Warren, Litchfield etc.
  10. Retrofit Heated Mirrors

It was another member that bought the Amazon timer, not me. But, I would imagine you would use fuse taps and find something that is hot when the ignition is on. I would probably use a 5 amp fuse. I have my dash cam and shock sensor both running on 5 amp fuses with no issues.
  11. What did you do to your Type R today?

    Nice, what part of CT?
  12. Retrofit Heated Mirrors

You can tap into the rear defroster as a power source, but it adds additional load with the side mirrors which can lead to blowing the fuse for whatever runs on that circuit.
  13. Civic Type R After-market Wheel Guide

Nice color combo! Gunmetal always looks good on a blue car. BTW, how are the 2020 front brake rotors? Do you notice any difference compared to the pre 2020 cross drilled rotors?
  14. LED Sidemarkers
