  1. This could have been my civic...

One car outside and one in the garage. Came out last week to the Audi and heard a kitten meow somewhere under. Looked under and saw this. The more I tried to get it out, the more it climbed up into the under tray. Decided to forgo driving it and took the X. Since I live in HI, it was more...
  2. Paint peeling from the seam on 2016 civic ex-t rear bumper cover

I showed mine to my dealer once I first saw it. It showed up about 2 months after buying, but has not progressed any worse in the last year and half. My dealer said if it gets worse, they would cover it under warranty and in the meantime, gave me two paint pens to use if I wanted. I just...
  3. What did you do to your Civic today?!

You can spray plasti dip glossifier over the regular dip to get a low gloss. The more you spray, the more gloss it will have.
  4. Athletic driving w/ rev hang= wear?

Although most clutches can handle a couple times of burning the clutch, over time it will cause "glazing" of the disk, threfore; making it difficult for the clutch to bite and fully engage. This will lead to eventual and premature slipping.

Is the dots in the perforated leather "holes"? If so, that is just leftover leather cleaner or whatever else liquidesque got on the seat and stuck in the hole. After I treat my leather with leather serum, I get a couple of holes with the liquid stuck in them. I just poke lightly with a...
  6. Clutch making noise after someone else drove my car

If you are not used to driving manual cars, you tend to be more hyper sensitive to "odd" sounds or feels than someone who has driven them for a long time. I wouldn't worry too much about it as you will usually feel a clutch on its way out.
  7. Clutch making noise after someone else drove my car

I have never driven a manual X gen civic, but all my other cars have been manual. Are you sure you are not hearing/feeling the clutch engagement/disengagement points?
  8. Hidden storage tray...

    Keep'um guessing!
  9. Oil change question...

My first one was done with 5% left at 5.5k. I am now at 8.6k and 50%. Even if I my maint minder tells me I am not ready for maint, I will still do it at 6 months from previous, as I usually don't make the miles to dictate the necessity.
  10. What did you do to your Civic today?!

I dipped my stock Honda plate and it holds up fine. It will stick just as well as on the chrome parts of the car. Just prep and clean same way.
  11. What did you do to your Civic today?!

Looks good! How many core rows is it? Looks a lot thicker than stock! Interesting that the logo was sprayed on upside down.
  12. Why did you lease? w/ Lease details

Correct, just wasn't too sure why quoted my post with the info.
  13. Why did you lease? w/ Lease details

Sorry, not sure why you quoted my comment with this. Are you trying to say leasing is more expensive than buying, or the opposite? My apologies if I am missing something;)
  14. Why did you lease? w/ Lease details

The mileage overage will only be a problem if you decide to turn it back into Honda and walk away. If you sell it to a third party, trade it in to Honda on a new lease (if you have equity built up), or turn it in and re-lease or buy another Honda, then the excess mileage is a non factor.
  15. What did you do to your Civic today?!

Well let's see how this turns out. Good thing can peel back off if looks like a cheap abs plastic add on!
  16. What did you do to your Civic today?!

Just mask around the outside perimeter of emblem you want to spray. No need to do inbeteeen each letter as the dip will peel from the areas you pull it from, and remain on the areas you don't. As long is it is thick enough, the hard edges and creases will act as a "cutter" to separate the dip...
  17. What did you do to your Civic today?!

It is really easy to use plasti dip. Just mask off around the letters (no need to get right up against the edges) and then use something to cover the rest of the immediate areas of he car. I use drop paint plastic coverings for carpets. Then start to spray in even coats with the first being...
  18. What did you do to your Civic today?!

For some reason, the tinted interior makes the red outside look more "bulged" out. Maybe because the tint makes the inside area look "deeper". This is not a criticism, just a humble self observation
  19. What did you do to your Civic today?!

Yeah, the all black was looking a little Mad Max for me. The chrome H matches with the headlights I think.
