update: contacted navifly about the weird steering wheel control lag, they’re sending me a new canbus for $5. better than nothing
also for those wondering, the little reset button doesn’t do a full factory reset. on mine, pressing it once does a soft reboot (no logo). and holding it for 10-15...
I worked as a tech support guy for 5 years before going to architecture school. i guess it shows haha
glad i could be of help 🤙🏻
do you just use the little reset button on the top left of your unit? Mine needs to be restarted completely once every couple weeks, but i never have anything on me...
lol i feel like i’m just always running into problems. anyone having problems with their steering wheel controls? mine was working fine until today where there’s a serious amount of lag between my steering wheel input and my unit. for example the buttons on the actual unit are totally fine. but...
My dad has a 2019 Rav4 and my mom drives a 2019 Camry. I HATE the weird pop up head units in those cars
this ^^ i’ve had to do pretty much everything on this list on my PX6 as well.
Any options you see for changing the width of the trajectory lines? mines showing up way too small
I could be wrong but i think Joying sells one with a volume knob. Honestly i think I liked the Joying better overall, but having those buttons really has been great. and the UI looks way nicer in my opinion
Big improvement on sound quality. and you get 4 different reverse views
the system goes into sleep mode unless disabled so it’s instant start. reboot takes 20 seconds
not sure about the processor
PX6 is built by a different manufacturer so the UI and stuff is cleaner, and i like the buttons...
Hey guys, first time doing something like this.
So I picked up my Civic Hatch about a year and some change ago after totaling my very shitty Nissan Rogue.
Mods in order purchase:
Unity Performance - Smoked White Side Markers
15% All Around Window Tints
Nah , these units have been too much work. The PX6 has been perfect other than wireless ACP, and I thought the UI on Android 8.1 was ugly as hell haha. Plus I hardly ever used wireless ACP on my Joying, it just destroys my battery and would lag from time to time.
That being said though, I'm...
Also, got it confirmed that the Navifly PX6 (The most expensive model) DOES NOT support built in wireless carplay. but the Joying PX6 (same price, but Android 8.1) and the Navifly M400 ($100 cheaper) does. Go figure
On a somewhat related note, has anyone had their MM reset after flashing their ecu? i’m 90% sure mine was on 70% before tuning my car using ktuner and it just now dropped to 80 from 90 after a month or so of tuned driving. I’m asking because I don’t want it to be at 90% after flashing back to...
Figured out why the head unit kept turning off the reverse camera, as well as why it wouldn't do headlight auto-dim. Turns out I had the wrong CANBUS protocol selected. You have to use "Raise CRIDER", not "Simple/Rasie Civic/CRV". This also fixed the instrument cluster clock issue
Check your file manager, there might be a Tlink apk sitting in your system somewhere. @caldersm44 that's what I did when I did a factory reset, there was a folder called OEM where it housed all of the stock app apk files.
Also I drive a CVT
