  1. Your Dont need a Volume Knob!

It certainly sounds like there are mixed opinions. I am 32 years old, definitely a techie that appreciates new technology, but I find the steering wheel and touch screen interfaces totally inadequate. The steering wheel isn't really the problem though, it's the touch screen. However, I do find...
  2. CarPlay insists on defaulting to Pandora

It doesn't have to do with CarPlay. I have CarPlay disabled and my Pandora app was doing this as well over Bluetooth. It was super annoying. I hadn't opened Pandora in several months probably, but it started playing every time I turned my car on. I deleted Pandora and have had no more issues.
  3. Cell Phone Holder Mount

I still think this one is best: http://a.co/c026Ynp (Model HLCRIO121). I stick it to my windshield, not the dash. I put it in the very far bottom left of my windshield as low as it will go. It does not cause any obstruction of my view in that position (or at least minimal enough to be not...
  4. Removing dealership sticker

They placed it on my car after I decided to purchase it, but before I picked it up. Even worse, they spelled the name of the dealership incorrectly. I told them that the car was not in the state that I agreed upon, so they agreed to remove it right then.
  5. Your Dont need a Volume Knob!

It is clearly subjective, but I disagree entirely. I find a knob significantly easier to adjust. I rarely land on the right volume while sliding my finger. If I don't land on the right volume, I then have to either slide more (and likely mess up again) or use the button to adjust more finely...
  6. Recourse for infotainment issues?

I hope this ends up being true and that it is a solid update!
  7. Recourse for infotainment issues?

I completely agree. If future Honda tech does not improve, I will not be buying another. The car is otherwise nice enough. I plan to keep this car for a while though (assuming I don't get overly frustrated with tech issues), so perhaps Honda will improve by the time I need a new car.
  8. Just turned on Econ button...

You're probably right! I meant "crazy kids" in more of a sarcastic manner to represent all daredevil drivers. I live near a college campus, so it might be more kids doing it around here, but that's only because there aren't as many older people in general.
  9. Recourse for infotainment issues?

Fair enough. My point is that this problem likely cannot be fixed until there is a software update, so you would be better off doing something fun with your day off.
  10. Just turned on Econ button...

I did not have any significant improvement in MPG with ECON mode. All it did was slow down my acceleration and make the car less enjoyable to drive. I do not drive aggressively at baseline, so I don't need this limiting me further. Perhaps this could be helpful for those crazy kids who find it...
  11. Recourse for infotainment issues?

I would stop wasting your time having it looked at unless it is a unique issue. Clearly it is a software bug for the majority of us. Unless they give you a unit with a software upgrade, replacing the unit will be a waste of your time, the dealer's time, and a huge waste of resources. I do think...
  12. Cell Phone Holder Mount

I ultimately changed to this mount and have been extremely happy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JRGOKQ8/ref=twister_B00NQ0CA0E?_encoding=UTF8&th=1 I suction it to the windshield just above the vent to the left of the steering wheel. I set it back a bit to prevent it from obstructing any of my...
  13. TPMS + ABS + Brake system + ACC freak out?

I only get this issue when using my car in accessory mode. In fact, I get it about 50% of the time or greater after using it in accessory mode. I just clear the error and move along. I hope one I don't have a real failure that leads to me ignoring it and something bad happening. Does anybody...
  14. 2017 Infotainment Hardware Changes, Yes Already

I agree that we are entitled to a functioning infotainment center. My touring has had numerous issues, only one of which was fixed with the software update (muting issue). I do not assume that the car software will be absolutely perfect, but I had expected it to be vastly better than it is. It...
  15. Netflix?

There is most certainly no way to do this at the moment with the U.S. model. The infotainment can barely open a website without freaking out and certainly would not be able to handle Netflix. There is currently no Netflix app for CarPlay or Android Auto, so that is not an option either. Perhaps...
  16. Camera jerky/frozen on startup?

Seems like having this issue occur immediately after the car starts is very dangerous. This is a common time to require the cameras. For example, when you are backing out of a parking spot or pulling out of parallel parking. I would have gladly paid an additional $500 for a high-end Android...
  17. Camera jerky/frozen on startup?

Given that these are software issues, and there is very minimal variation between cars (unlike phones/computers where we install all types of things), how is that some people have these issues constantly (such as myself) and others don't have it at all? Do they install different versions of the...
  18. Camera jerky/frozen on startup?

Has anybody else found the reverse/side cameras to be jerky for a while after starting the car? I've seen the below behavior: 1. Video is delayed by 1 second or so. When backing up, this results in thinking that objects are further away than they really are. 2. Video becomes very jerky, but...
  19. Recourse for infotainment issues?

I'm starting to get very frustrated with the infotainment issues. I can't imagine dealing with these issues over the next few years of owning this car. If these issues don't get fixed, what kind of recourse do we have? If I had purchased an Android tablet with this many issues, it would have...
  20. Volume gesture preference not sticking?

I haven given up trying to turn off the volume gestures. It turns itself back on every few days. I just leave it turned on now and deal with the fact that my fat thumbs will occasionally touch it and change the volume accidentally. I really hope they fix this in a future update.
