  1. BEST EXHAUST FOR CIVIC TYPE R??

Awesome thanks! Will take a listen when I get home
  2. BEST EXHAUST FOR CIVIC TYPE R??

Yes please! That's on my shortlist
  3. What happens when it’s time to smog in CA... or anywhere?

Yes, absolutely. Do you think insurance companies are idiots? If were an insurance company and you noticed that your customer registered their car to a PO address that's different from where they live, that wouldn't raise red flags? That's not them slipping out of a random claim, that's just...
  4. What happens when it’s time to smog in CA... or anywhere?

Wuuo Yeah except if you get into an accident, your insurance company can easily use this as an excuse to deny claims and cancel your insurance.
  5. BEST EXHAUST FOR CIVIC TYPE R??

    Any drone with this method?
  6. BEST EXHAUST FOR CIVIC TYPE R??

Milltek sounds good and no drone is great but at $2k for a stainless system, it's at the very top of the price range.
  7. Used Invidia R400 for $850 is Fair price?

The thing with used products is you assume 100% of the liability. If the parts don't fit or you have an issue you're on your own. For me to take that risk, I'd want a significant discount. A 10% discount is not nearly enough.
  8. Civic Type R After-market Wheel Guide

255s may rub slightly on the rears at full compression but should otherwise be fine. 245s are just too skinny for a 9.5 width wheel. For reference I have 19x9.5 +42 HREs and they did full compression tests. With 265s they noted slight rubbing issues on the rear fenders but no issues with 255s...
  9. NSX wheels!

How'd you get these? I thought you needed a nsx vin to get them
  10. Motortrend November 2020 Type R Results

Pretty pathetic that it made it to print with that typo. They corrected the online version: 5.1s is the correct number.
  11. Please list what exhaust you have, and your experience with it.

How's the sound? Could you describe the tonality and loudness? Any drone esp at 75mph?
  12. OE 2020+ cooling on track - more data

Iirc everyone that's tried it has stated it's completely and utterly useless. There's no airflow through the radiator in that location so the results are not surprising.
  13. How do I keep the exterior of my car clean?

Chemical guys is overpriced, their products are built off marketing more than engineering. Turtle wax makes some stellar ceramic sprays that are incredibly easy to apply and last months. I've also had great success with Meguiar's waterless spray and wax products.
  14. Civic Type R After-market Wheel Guide

NSX rims are goal, maybe when I get around to start tracking. For now, super happy with my HRE flow formed rims that I got a fantastic deal on.
  15. Civic Type R After-market Wheel Guide

Those look great but man $900/wheel is more than I'm comfortable dropping
  16. PRL VS. MISHIMOTO INTERCOOLER

Yes, there's a LOT of intercoolers that are worse than OEM if you are planning on tracking the car. People blindly put larger intercoolers on their cars which just result in blocking air to the radiator and causes them to overheat faster. I'd recommend you read the threads about overheating at...
  17. PRL VS. MISHIMOTO INTERCOOLER

Sorry Mishimoto products have no bearing on actual performance. Quality is decent, but their design and development work is pathetic. See their intake for a prime example. Increases IATs and reduces power over stock, $400 for what is basically a sound pipe. All independent tests have shown...
  18. NSX wheels!

Too bad those are the chromed versions. The gunmetal ones would look way better.
  19. Best exhaust for 1000 or under

Do you still have one though? How do you even keep track of which exhaust you're using? 🤣
