Thank you. I swapped those wheels with a fellow 10th gen owner in my area. I'm trading in my Civic end of next year and wanted to get it back on some OEM wheels before that time came. These tires will also last me through next year so I don't have to replace anything there.

If I get the chance I might look at painting these wheels all black. I've seen Si's with that wheel set up and I actually like it a lot. I'll keep this updated if I follow through on that in the end.
I'm curious as to why you are doing all sorts of additional mods as outlined in post #33 if you are just getting rid of the car anyway. ?

Just so we’re clear, I don’t owe anyone an explanation. My grandfather and dad died 12 days apart from each other Dec 28th and January 9th. Some of my last conversations with them both involved my Civic, they were happy to see how I’ve worked on it the last few years, and it’s developed more of a special meaning to me now than it once had before.

We’re allowed to change our mind on things. I’ll update this thread accordingly.

You are right. You don't owe us any explanation, everyone is allowed to change their mind, and you can do what you want with your car. I'm so sorry for your loss.

So very sorry for your loss Ethan. I too recently lost my father, so I can empathize with your situation. ?

May I ask what fitment sizing you did for your Avid wheels? I would like to do something similar with my hatch. My condolences on your grandfather and father passing.

Being furloughed during quarantine has provided me with lots of free time to focus on whatever I want. Thankfully I’ve been able to continue on some work with my Civic. Since my last post I’ve done the following;
-Removed cloth center console and arm rests
-Installed leather center console and arm rests
-Installed window switch covers

Hi OP,
Where did you get the Type R roof garnishes? OEM or aftermarket?

Thanks in advance,
G

Thank you for your condolences, I don't want to continue derailing this thread with personal details like that, in regards to your question my original fitment on my Avid wheels was 18x8.5 +35 with 245 DWS06 Continentals on Eibach sportline springs. No issues with rubbing or anything along those lines!

Type R roof garnishes are OEM, I purchased from hondapartshq.com I believe and they came painted in rallye red to match my paint. They have other color options available also, make sure to check the listing before placing your order and verify the paint code they list for each garnish matches your paint. In the case of rallye red, my paint code was R513.

Awesome fitment, might consider something like that myself. Did you find the DWS held 1st and 2nd gear without traction loss? If so, are you tuned?

Love your hatch! Love it! I would finish it off with some spacers to bump the offset down on the stock wheels. 20mm should do it. Just my silly opinion though. Looking good!

I have a PRL Cobra street intake. It sounds great, and have had no problems with hydrolock, and I live in WA state where it rains a lot. I have a filter sock covering the filter.

I have a CVT trans so I don't experience gear shifts, just the "rubber band" feel if that makes any sense. The tires were great all seasons and I had no issues with them at any time. I've been tuned since 46k miles, replaced spark plugs a couple thousand miles back. About to cross 85k soon.

I agree, spacers would look good and I may order a set here in the near future. Might try +25 rear and +20 front.

Oh brother, that is such a nice hatch. I have the same one in red, 2018 with the spacers you mentioned. Garage Line does a great staggered set for $200 :)
