Hello everyone.

I'm new to the forum and owning my civic x si. Purchase the car a few months ago.

Parts I'm hoping I can swap over.

Setrab oil cooler (power steering cooler attached in pic)
Greddy Trust intercooler (the cold side would need to be modified as our cars seem to have a 90°bend coming out)
Custom oil catch,
radiator overflow,
clutch line
Any & all steel braided lines
Fuel filter
Aem 02
Garret Gt2860rs. It currently has a t3 setup.

These parts are for sale too if anyone is truly interested just shoot me a PM.

Ordered new parts on Black Friday from @MAPerformance, patiently awaiting shipment.

Thanks for stopping by!

  • @PRL Motorsports Cobra (race MAF) installed.
  • Recieved the wrong downpipe, so that is on hold.
  • Currently running Ktuner 19/23psi, rev hang eliminated.

Install of the intake was very simple. Only hiccup was not realizing how the bottom of the intake is pinched to the frame and ended up breaking the tab. It simply slides towards the passenger side, up and out.

The sound this car makes now is awesome. The intake makes the turbo spool so much faster now, much more responsive. No need for a BOV or anything else if you're purely looking for a cool sound (plus added performance).

No complaints with the system or install. PRL guide on here is more than enough to get the job done.

Hoping the turnaround on the downpipe is quick, weather has been cooperating.

Downpipe install is on hold. Noticed some gunk on the under shield and once under the car noticed the right axle is leaking..

Car is less than a year old. 2000 miles. Never dumped the clutch. Never hit redline. No hard driving. I'm rather irritated this now will have to be taken to Honda for a warranty claim.

(The yellow fluid is PB blaster)

Also noticed my rear motor mount is discolored. I'm not sure if this normal.

No exhaust work has been done to this car. This is the first time the undershield has been removed.

Our axle boot failed as well! (Even before being too aggressive with the car) Easy fix, must've been a defective batch from factory. Hopefully that's covered for you under warranty still.

Dealer called and said it was the valve cover gasket. Due to the color and grease like feel of the substance, I'm going to keep and eye on the axle.

Car will be back tomorrow and will finish the downpipe. :drive:

Install was very easy. I let PB blaster sit on the bolts for three days and the engine was cold. As I did not purchase the front pipe, you simpley disconnect the front pipe bolts from the downpipe and the downpipe comes straight down.

My only complaint is that the exhaust doesnt sound great at WOT. The muffler system is raspy and "vibrates". Down rev is normal and a bit louder. Cold starts are quite loud compared to stock.

Normal driving it sounds pretty good with a bit of rasp on takeoff. I never put exhaust systems on cars for this reason. This is no fault of PRL. It's simply the muffler system. Or I need the front pipe?

A+ from @PRL Motorsports.

Current mods:

PRL cobra intake (race MAF)
PRL catless downpipe V2
Ktuner 19/23psi tune.

Totally different car now.

Included a couple pics with the heat shield attached to give a better visual for those wanting to install it. I did NOT install the heat shields back which I might do at a later time.

No CEL after 25 miles.

The MAF sensor hanging in the middle was bothering me.
For anyone who wants to change it, it is pretty simple, just be very careful not to pinch or stress the wires.

Use a flathead screw driver and lift the plastic cover off the harness. There are 6-7 clips. The plastic elbow and vertical clip come apart the same way.

This entire plastic harness slides up off the battery support and removes from the harness. Be careful not to put any stress on the harness. I used my grinder wheel to cut a small slit in the bottom of the holder all the way to the spot where the MAF bundle comes out.

Reassemble and the MAF bundle will pass right through the bottom of the holder.

I added a piece of sheathing to protect the wires going into the harness, and also added a piece to the area where it snaps into the air box (90° plastic piece). The wires there are not protected by plastic.
The zip tie is barely tightened on the airline.

You do not want to add any stress to the wires or restrict that tube. This assembly still has plenty of room for movement.

Managed to get Tunerview lite installed on the head unit. I ended up installing Google chrome from the Honda hack app and going to Ktuners setup guide for tunerview and did a direct download to the headunit. This option does work for those not wanting/having a USB stick.

This is on a 2018 si

I just did this with mine. I only removed the plastic elbow, routed the harness under the main harness, and put on some black plastic cover. Looks way better.
