Hello everyone, I am somewhat new to this forum but I am anxious for us to all share our ideas; so I am going to start my own thread.

So far I have not done a whole lot, but I might as well share as I go.
We have a 2016 Civic and is black in color. 1.5T.
We got it for my girlfriend(Traded in our 2015 Jeep Renegade).

Here in the picture I have attached it shows I have already:
Taken the badging off the rear
Tinted the clear lenses
And also I have PlastiDipped the H emblem with black dip and a few coats of clear on top.
(Please ignore the stupid plate frames and inserts, they will be gone soon)
I have also blacked out the front side reflectors. I would share a picture but I drove my truck to work today.

I have a long way to go but it's a start. Hopefully we see some aftermarket accessories soon!

Excuse how dirty she is!

So I'm about to tint my clear lights as you have. Any tips? Or suggestions

Are you using spray or film? Either way, clean the surface VERY well and make sure there are no tiny peices of lint or fabric there. Also, if spraying, take your time taping it just right. Some LED lights to help shine through will help too

I'm looking to utilize the spray, but uncertain exactly where I should tape off the light
Thanks for the help!

This is what the chrome on the front looks like blacked out in the daytime. I still want to do the plastic under and above it to match. But it looks so much more aggressive now.

Well this thread is about to take a pretty big twist.. We traded in our black 2016 EX-T for a white 2017 EX-T! We already have appointments set up for some minor modifications, I am removing all the LED lights from the black Civic and putting them on the white on tonight, I am taking off my Boomba BOV and putting it on the new one as well. I have to leave the gold heat wrapped Injen SRI on the old one because I do not have the stock one anymore): But this is a great way to start over and learn from my mistakes on this first one! I will post pictures soon:)

Out with the old, in with the new! We have had our 2017 EXT for two days now. So far I have converted everything but high beams to LED, gold wrapped Injen CIA, Boomba BOV and of course the boomba sticker, I am painting some exhaust tips glossy black as we speak and I am also tinting the side marker lights black as we speak as well. I have an appointment tomorrow for window tint and I am going to see if he can tint the red part of my taillights as well. I am going to take off the Civic badge tonight. We are off to a good start! I also ordered a rear roof spoiler and is in the mail but I have to go get it on Tuesday since the Post Office is closed up.

Vinyl wrapped the chrome around the window, tinted the windows and the tailights as well. Coming along quickly for only having it a few days. Need a black grill asap.

What did you tint your front/back markers with?
The front orange markers I used Night Shade spray. If you prep it correctly and lay it right, it comes out super smooth and perfect. The rear lights are a tint film done at a local shop.

I'm not familiar with NightShade spray; looked it up and now I'm intrigued. Does it have properties more similar to PlastiDip or spray paint? Just wanna make sure I mask correctly if I attempt this. Also, how many coats did you do? And last: how much was your tint? Both percentage and cost? (For respective window/taillight/back markers) I'm a student and cost is a major factor for me. I got my civic a month ago and I love it to death cuz it's my first car of MY own.
