Hi all!

Let me introduce my car.
EUDM 2019 FK7 Sport.
I always wanted an SI in a hatchback chassis. Sadly Honda didn't do it.
I've dropped some upgrade to compete with a stock Si.
Now I think the car earned the TypeS badge. :)

So your fk8 shifter is wired to control your ktuner maps? Like comfort mode is map 1 and r mode is map 2? Also is the button above it functional, or wired to anything?

If you thought the fk8 r-mode button, it’s functioning as an eco mode switch, therefore I switch between ktuner dual mode.

I still dont follow, so your oem shifter bezel had the brake hold, parking brake, and eco mode. Now aftermarket fk8 shifter bezel has brake hold and parking brake still but now r-mode button that controls the eco mode button instead of suspension control? And what is the button above the r-mode do?

I am asking because i have thought about switching out for an fk8 shifter bezel and wiring the buttons to control something else.

Ok. Let me explain.
I have an Eudm fk7, with 1.5T engine.
Every eudm fk7 model is equipped with auto start-stop function, and there’s a switch to deactivate it. This how my original shifter bezel looks like

The button island on the right side is a separate part.
I bought a type-r version of this button island.

As You can see there is the auto start-stop button, and the r-mode switch.
The auto start-stop and the r-mode are independent switches.
The R-mode switch has 5 pin, instead of the econ mode’s 4.
I made a custom cable to connect the r-mode 5 pin to the car’s 4 pin.

With this cable, the R-mode switch functions as the standard econ switch, with on/off positions. Either you push the r-mode switch up or down it switches the econ mode on or off.

@teletxt, were you able to find the FK8 shifter assembly in Europe at a reasonable price? Every quote I get is around 300 EUR plus shipping. I see it being ridiculously cheap in the US.
