The black intercooler is a little too sleeper for me, especially since our intercoolers are a bit recessed into the bumper.

Seeing a big hunk of aluminum just looks more substantial on any turbo car imo.

This is the "best" recent pic I have:

LOL this is why I’m going back and forth with black and silver, that front end looks amazing being able to see the aluminum finish, your front end basically looks like mine with the pro civic grill. Sheeeesh ??

Mighty car mods did a few videos on black vs silver intercoolers. Worth watching.
I’m going to have to watch that video, thanks for the suggestion!

Silver does look killer too but man I don’t know how well they hold up in the northeast. I’ve seen PLENTY of cars up here run them in silver so I don’t see why not BUT I’m not looking at it very closely for it ?
i mean its aluminum so it should be fine how does your current cooler look? id imagine you have a good amount of miles now

The anti corrosion aspect is something I never had to consider before since I live in socal so you really have a tough choice lol.

Yeah there's an aluminum bar inserted into the oem sport lip so it doesn't flex so much. I originally had 2 vertical support bars but ended up removing them. I had the vertical bars for like a month before I thought it looked too ugly and the inner aluminum bar provided enough support.
ahh you wouldnt have a picture of how you did it would you?

I actually went from silver to black I like the black look more. Mainly went black for the look tbh I don’t think the color makes a huuuuge difference in cooling(I’m probably wrong since I rattle canned mine ?) but that’s what I think.

since you cut your mesh out also on your old bumper what did you use to support the front?

I didn’t use any extra support the second picture was how I ran it for 20k miles until the new bumper. The sag is only noticeable if you look closely imo

how quick it is to install the intercooler? been having mine for about a month just sitting in my closet lol
First time will probably be between 2 or 3 hours if it’s your first time taking off the bumper.
