I've been away for a while from the forum and it's great to check back in with the folks here and give my 4 year 80k tuned reliability update on my total stock Honda running a high end custom Starter 21 I set up myself. KTuner nonadjustable Base Stage 0, 1, 2 tunes are a good starting point for you to get the feel and are safe. Read a lot of tuning threads here on this forum and get lots of good info on custom tuning. Starter 21 PSI is where you can custom, turn it up a notch and wake it up quite a bit more and still be safe. I'm sure people here will gladly help answer questions and offer some tips.

Yeah been reading on peoples builds. I might start off with the TSP just to get a feel for it. And if its something I feel I want more out of in some areas, I'll try custome tuning. Just trying to see how peoples CVT's have been running map3 on the TSP

Phearable recommends doing that with 91. Maybe start with just a gallon and see how knock control is.
This worked incredibly. in Map 2, kcont never went above 0.52 and was mostly at 0.49!

Total tuned time: 29 months

Tuned miles driven: Approximately 27,000 miles

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: Default 2.0L Tune, Improved Throttle Response II

Fuel used: 93 Ultra only

Additional engine mods: RV6 Catted Downpipe, AEM Intake

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Brisk, but not aggressive

Tuning experience notes: No issues with tune, or really any issues with the car since I got it brand new back in December 2017. The did CEL go on after installing the RV6 Catted Downpipe, but I was able to solve that by using a defouler that I modified (refer to my comment history for more info on that). The tune did increase performance over stock, the AEM Intake did not make any noticeable difference, and the RV6 Catted Downpipe made a barely noticeable difference (that is the order I installed them).

It's like I tell people all the time. You can throw on bolt on after bolt on but the real star of the show is, by far, the tune.

Thanks for adding your car.

Tunes used: Phearable Stage 1.5

Fuel used: 93 Octane

Additional engine mods: PRL Intake

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: Slightly speedy with aggressive moments depending on my mood.

Tuning experience notes: At first I couldn’t get my map 3 up to the 25 psi like it said, so I re flashed the car and since I’ve had no issues. The car shifts so much more smooth and definitely added enough power and overall performance to be worth it.

UPDATE!
Vehicle: 2020 Civic Si Sedan

Total tuned time: 8 months

Total tuned mileage: 12500 miles

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: Phearable Stage 1.5

Fuel used: 93 Octane

Additional engine mods: PRL Intake

Problems/issues: Clutch Slip

Driving style: Slightly speedy with aggressive moments depending on my mood.

Tuning experience notes: Recently my clutch started slipping which from the forum is a normal issue that occurs depending on your luck it seems. Just ordered the NA Performance CTR Retrofit Clutch & Flywheel, aswell as the kzCMC. This should solve that issue but besides that I’ve had no issues yet. Still highly recommend this tune for sure!

Great to hear the Phearable tune is treating you well overall. I'm guessing you're mostly in map 3 in terms of the clutch slip issue? Appreciate the update.

Just a reminder to everyone who has added their car. Please add an updated post like Kaulpenny just did. Those additional tuned miles driven and other changes really help keep the reliability stats accurate and up to date.

Honestly nah, I usually drove in map 1 and when I would race I always used map 2 because map 3 always seemed slower. My car may just be a dud tho? I was going down the highway and my sunroof randomly exploded! Luckily they warrantied it but was still a process. Supposed there are over 900 Open investigations on randomly exploding sunroofs for 2015+ hondas??
