Ever had to park in the full sun, and when you get back the gear knob burns your palm so bad you yell "Crikey!"?

Fear not, I got a ridgey-didge life hack for ya so easy you'll think it's the dog's bollocks...

Or rather the roo's bollocks coz that's literally what this was. Perfect for that searing 'strayan sun when even a sun shield doesn't cut the mustard! Pretty clever eh?

On a more serious note does anyone have any particular recommendations for driving gloves that can be worn on a hot day for when I don't wish to commit this automotive sacrilege I.e. always?

No gloves currently, but used to use leather fingerless motorcycle gloves. And myself have considered the Alcantara wrap from Swedit. But with Quarantine I don't park in the sun (work from home).

I use a old racketball glove, barely used.

Ours is a spare piece of leather tied with a boot string - too hot in Summer, cold in winter, just right!

Summer and winter 'hats' :)

This was in fact the initial suggestion from the Honda salesman. Love seeing the range of solutions.

I'll probably go with the weight lifting glove or something thin and not padded. And some of those gloves are useless anyway, the padded one not only ruined my grip on the bar but the first time I went for a deadlift PB I shredded the webbing anyway...

a infant sock.. thats the best and most effective way to fix the problem
That's what I'm using. It still gets pretty hot in the summer though. Not hot enough to burn, but not comfortable either. I haven't had a problem with it getting too cold yet, but I park in a garage.

Don't move any further North - it was -4 (F not C) this morning!
I can't wait for Chicago to start seeing those temperatures too! And for the next polar vortex to hit! \s

Whelp, I still have like a few weeks before that happens... (hopefully).
